Great to have this friendly local pub back open. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
New management have sharpened things up. We spoke to the manager who explained what they had inherited from the previous landlord, what they have done to date and plans for the future. All good.
They had a good selection of beers and sitting in the beer garden was very pleasant. We won't be leaving it long to return.
Well kept beer, regardless of whether it's local or not. The front room is cosy, with a carpet, fire when weather permits, and a smile to greet you upon arrival. Pool out the back. You'll always get a good pint here.
We've played darts a few times against these guys. The pub is really friendly and we're always well looked after. The food is bloody fantastic. Thanks Maria ya legend.
Lovely pub, great staff who welcome you with open arms. There are not many pubs I feel comfortable walking in on my own, but the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with a great selection of drinks. Love the open fire on a cold day and can't wait for the outside entertainment and bbqs in the summer.
You know where Hugh go

Brillaint pub, priced fair, even better staff. Great manageress. Great beers. Lots of events a great part of the community.
Sadly I had to leave the area in a hurry and didnt get to say goodbye and thank you so hopefully they will know now 👍
It's been quite some time since I was in this pub and I have to write that I was thoroughly impressed with the refurbishment. Instead of two bars there is now one and it's very well laid out.
The bar staff was helpful when my chosen ale ran out. The ale was also very well kept. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
What a lovely pub this is. Its a hidden gem in an already quaint quiet street with a great community spirit. The landlady, staff and clients are so friendly, great company, and they know their beers! Fantastic gin selection too! Love the garden - really quirky, fun and like a home from home.
Such a welcoming pub!
The landlady is so welcoming and caring for her customers (who soon become friends).
There’s always something going on; Thursday’s they do PubQuiz with thought out questions and themes. So many people come over on Thursday’s they even have to have two people reading out questions.
Every first Friday of the month they do curry-oke, with a great set up to sing with friends and have a laugh.
They have two massive TVs outside so it’s great for sporting events.
The outside is all done up with a huge marquee and a pool table area.
The staff couldn’t be nicer and Maria, the landlady, is always up for a chat and a laugh.
We probably go here once a week for PubQuiz or to meet our friends.
Would be great to see more IPAs.
From an unassuming front door to a beautifully laid garden and into a very chi chi lounge. Compact and bijou as they used to say in the 90's, lovely atmosphere and really soothing decor. Absolutely lovely staff, nothing too much trouble for them, gave my friend a birthday drink on the house and were friendly and professional the whole time. I can't believe I've missed this pub out, definitely visiting again soon.
