China Palace - Reading - Photo album

They have the best dumplings in Reading. Overall, Food is tasty but expect slow service. Friendly staff.
We thought it was affordable with good portions. Food was good enough, what we expected. We liked the all you can eat option for one price. Staff were friendly and hard working looked after us well. It's not trendy or high end but it's a decent restaurant. We left very full!
I have been many times there for dim sum. Very good food, although I'm not an expert in Asian food. My wife is and she loves that place. Many times half of customers are Asian, which is to me a good sign. I'm surprised for the comments about the service. If you want western politeness then choose a
Had a dim sum lunch, we ordered about 40 dishes so had a large selection of food. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The prices are more expensive than those nearer London however it is convenient to be able to have dim sum without going further into London. The service was okay.
Dim Sums are very good and delicious. No comment about meals as only have been there twice in evenings for dinner. The ones tasted are okay but not great. Mind you, I am ethnic Chinese and considered myself conversant with provincial cuisines.
Really lovely restaurant and delicious food. If you are looking for authentic chinese food, here is definitely your choice in reading area. Everytime we are in, manager and staff will check on us and make sure we are enjoying our dinner. The food in my opinion are better than some of the restaurants
Dim Sum is good and, comparing to my visits to dim sum places in Hong Kong, the restaurant provides a pretty authentic experience. Prices are decent. Service is a little rushed because the staff seem to be very busy. Will definitely visit again.
Highly recommend their dim sum. Authentic dishes. Best dim sum in Reading. Worth booking on a Sunday. Can't really comment on their other/standard menu. I had it once a few years ago, wasn't especially memorable. It's the dim sum I come back for.
I really like this place. The staff are really friendly and the food is really nice, especially the smoked shredded chicken, the seaweed and the duck pancakes. The only thing is that the chairs are very low, and I frequently need to stack chairs on top of each other.
really good for group outings with more than 5 people as the price you pay is maximum of £25 there depending how much you order. that aside the food is very good and one of best Chinese I had being in the uk, I don't know why the bad rating, I will update it it happens to me,
An absolutely fantastic restaurant! Instead of unsightly mountains of buffet food they choose the civilized method of repeat ordering off menus. The food is very good in my opinion and the service is just fine. This is one of my favorite restaurants!
My favourite chinese in Reading. Food is prepared freshly and authentically. You might wait a little longer to be served, and for all the staff english is a second language. So patience is key and the pay off is excellent. Rediscover your favourites or go off piste, more uncommon dishes include th
I went there with some friends of mine and we shared like 8 different meals and enjoyed the traditional Chinese tea as well. Really high quality for the price. Would recommend.
Great food, enjoyed the atmosphere, only issue was initially they wanted to charge £5 to open our bottle of wine that we had to get across the road as they aren't currently selling alcohol. When we said we would leave they dropped the fee.
