Kind service, lovely location and atmosphere. Very reasonable price for cream tea too. I just wish there was a (more pricey) option for leaf tea and warm scones, possibly brushed with egg wash on top before the initial baking: these would also contribute to giving them a bit more color.
Lovly little find , on the river , excellent sandwich , lovly cold coke nice pot tea. Ppl stopping on there boats for an ice cream while they wait for the lock .
What a delightful place, with lovely views to the canal. Beautifully decorated, superb food and friendly staff, 100% recommended!!

Stopped here while out on a bike ride for a coffee and cake, I sat outside at a table in the garden over looking the boats on the canal .
My coffee and cake were lovely and the food they were serving means I will be back soon for something more filling with my wife next time.

Moored the narrow boat up and had lunch in this lovely little cafe. We had tuna melt paninis and even bought our dog a doggy ice cream. Sat outside but there were quite a few wasps. Still a pretty setting.
Spent time helping CRT vollenteers replacing the GWR boundrey markers in the grounds of the tea rooms and information centre. Enjoyed the coffee & cake. Great spot to watch the world go by.

Lovely place to stop for lunch and a warm drink while out walking by the canal. We really enjoyed our food and the hot chocolate was very tasty. I understand there is new management so I’m looking forward to seeing what comes in the future.
We will definitely come again and recommend to others.

Wonderful experience. We used it on our cycling trip to Paris. The service was fantastic and they served one of the best Cappuccino I've had in a long time.
Fantastic spot for lunch
Great spot along the canal for lunch. Under fantastic new management. Sandwiches delicious. Drinks delicious. Cakes and ice creams delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Would highly recommend. Dog loved his first pup cup.

was so lovely to eat there after a long walk. had the best brie and cranberry panini and was delighted by tasty drinks and ice creams after. the staff were so lovely and attentive throughout as my family enjoyed lush food and the gorgeous views of the canal. completely dog friendly too ( my spaniel
Rode past on a bike ride realised I hadn't been in for years! Great service, lovely food and even though my Tiffin was melting in the heat it tasted amazing. Will be making the walk or ride from Thatcham to eat there again
