Great food, wonderful atmosphere. This was my second visit to Soju and I truly like this place. My colleagues and I really enjoyed and definitely coming back again. Wonderful and friendly staff and owner. I would recommend this place any time if you are looking for authentic food.
Amazing food and drink. We tried the rather random sounding sweetcorn and cheese side dish and it tasted awesome. Would definitely recommend picking a dish that you've never tried before as chances are you'll be pleasantly surprised. Fantastic food, lovely staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
My first experience with Korean food and it was irresistibly delicious. Very flavourful food with the right mix of herbs and spices, the meat was done to perfection. Especially enjoyed the hot plate feature on the table where I could grill the meat.
The staff was very helpful and humble, catering to the needs of my demanding toddler. �
Great experience and will definitely come back.
I thought I'd try this place as my 39th birthday meal and I really enjoyed it.
Pleasant shop, tasty food, pleasant smiling staff.
This is the sort of restaurant I would happily take friends, guests and business partners. Will definitely be eating here again.

Always wanted to try it...staff made us so welcome in explaining the menu to us.....food delicious and great value for money.......will definitely return and try the Korean bbq next time.
I came here with my sister and daughter Friday evening, the space was clean and modern with the sound of Kpop playing in the background 😊 We had a mixture of rice, vegetables and BBQ meat and it really was an exciting eating experience! High quality food and officiant friendly staff, I would highly recommend it 👍

This is authentic Korean food. The BBQ was excellent. All the side dishes were just like you were in Seoul & they even had the call button to call the waiter/waitress. Brought back great memories of living in Seoul & the soju hangover was just the same too! 😆
Love it !! The staff are amazing and polite . We went we some friends to celebrate my B-Day , and they even provided small plates for my BDay Cake �. This is my new Favorite restaurant .

Really tasty food. Loved the meat selection to bbq and the side dishes were good too.
I love Korean food and this is excellent. I had the lunch set menu to have a taste of different things, and everything was tasty.
The staff (who I suspect could be the owners) are friendly, attentive and helpful when deciding what to order.
The atmosphere is tranquil and the music is not too loud (which I appreciate when eating).
I will definitely come back to keep tasting the rest of the menu.
The food was good, we cooked our own Surf N Turf platter and had it with lettuce & the Beer was so refreshing. The Chicken dumplings were also good. I like Korean BBQs and this place was good.
Had a booking on June (our wedding anniversary ❤️)and went there for the first time.The elder male server was so polite and attentive, the meat that came marinated with traditional herbs was exactly what we hope for, we enjoyed by cooking it by ourselves and eat it in a traditional way rolled in fresh lettuce as we have seen in Korean films 😀
Drinks where absolutely fantastic something which we didn't try before, restaurant very clean and prices reasonable.

We were hungry so ordered noodle and Bibimbap in hot stone pot which came really quick. Food was delicious. Next time definitely ordering the barbecue 🙂.
Service was good. There was an oldman "server? Or owner?" brought us water which was very kind.
Environment was great. Everything looked clean. Our table was definitely clean and nicely presented with chopsticks and plates.
And yes you can order using the QR code on that table but we did the old fashioned with server. Definitely recommend.
Had the chicken boolgogi which was very nice. The waiter was helpful, my food was served very quickly and I appreciate that there were clear notes on the menu to show which items were halal. The rice milk was very nice too.
The Soju is a great little restaurant. It was recommended by a local hairdresser (while my daughter was having her hair done). The place was a little hard to find (I didn't know Kings Walk existed), but the food was excellent. Authentically Korean and really fresh. The Soju also serves Korean beer, soju, and other Korean drinks and made me feel like I was back in Seoul (I'm not Korean, but I lived there for a few years).
I had the Korean cold noodles (냉면), which can feel a little strange if you haven't had them before, but really tasty. Don't forget to add some mustard!
Wasn’t so busy as we went around 3 pm . Ordered hot pot £38.00 seafood, food was good except frozen fish . Will go back again .
Soju offer an extensive selection of meats, seafood, vegetables and other ingredients that can be cooked on the table. For BBQ enthusiats, there is range of marinated meats to choose from.
The overall dining experience at soju bbq and hotpot restaurant is enjoyable. The interactive nature of grilling your own meats or cooking communal hotpots fosters a sense of camaraderie among diners.
It makes it an ideal place for solo diners as well as social gatherings. Great value for the money. The Korean mango refreshment is not one to be missed.
Exelent food, great experience. Koreans eat well from a vast divers set of flavours, so doo a bit of Googleing first, and you will reap the rewards of some delicious food.
Great experience cooking your own meat and fish, as long as you have someone who knows how to cook it. Due to the cuts, it takes minutes to cook, but table space is limited, so best to keep ordering, rather than all up front.
We had a number of noodle and rice dishes, all were excellent.
Fabulous range of drinks too, especially in the non alcoholic fizzy range.

Been here a number of times with family and friends - not a clue where all the bad review are coming from to be fair. You need to press a bell to get service which I imagine the people complaining about poor service just failed to realise despite being told - as for the food it's delicious, never had a bad meal and will continue to enjoy this restaurant as long as it is open.
Admittedly the restaurant leaves a little to be desired in aesthetic, but at the end of the day I'm not eating the walls so it doesn't really matter how nice they look or not.
Absolutely amazing! It was so fun being able to cook the food yourself! The atmosphere was really friendly, and the seasoning was on point! Definitely recommend anyone visiting Reading for the first time or wanting to try Korean food! Really cool experience and looked amazing in pics
Amazing restaurant, great service and plenty of choices of food! Even though the restaurant is not big, every table has bbq! Been here for 3 times and I loved everything I tried: bibimbap with beef bulgogi, fried rice with egg + cabbage kimchi banchan, bbq beef bulgogi. Big variety of drinks, too! Thank you so much, I hope I will come back to this place once more!
