I'm not turned on by raw food. Being vegan is enough for the moment. I'm not a fan of beetroot. And if something has kale in it, I look the other way. So imagine my surprise when I randomly stumbled on The Flowering Teapot in Caversham...and had one of the most delicious-tasting experiences ever with their 80% raw vegan terrine! There's a spinach, kale and herb layer; with carrots and omega seeds; houmous (or hummus, depending on whether you're correct or pohsh); beetroot and more herbs. OH MY DAYS! Love finds like this 😁. Preferred it to the food at Nomad Bakery, if I'm honest. Staff we're lovely, too. My head was turned even before I went in because of the heavenly aroma wafting outside.

The food is high quality (had an excellent sausage role with red onion and an outstanding cappuccino). My wife had a fantastic plum tart with cream. Our server was very friendly. We’ll be back!

Lovely! Finally made a trip after months of eying up the homemade cakes in the window every time I walked past. When I visited everything looked so tasty I struggled to decide! Sausage rolls were massive! I chose a quiche to takeaway which was delish. The staff were so lovely and happy to stop for a chat. Would come back based on their personalities alone! Deffo recommend!

What a lovely place! Super tasty food with lovely cakes to go with it. Nice atmosphere to sit and spend some time. There isn't much room in the little front room but it is well worth a visit it you are passing. Will be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Caversham's "The Flowering Teapot" cafe this afternoon. Delicious chocolate loose-leaf herbal tea, in a tea-pot, that served me three cups, served with superb chocolate cake. Jane had a delicious pecan pie. The cakes and pastries are made by the lovely owner, Samantha, with whom we chatted for 15 minutes. Give Costa a rest and support a true local business - "The Flowering Teapot". You wont be dissapointed.

Lovely, great cakes, friendly staff, good choice of tea coffees and drinks. I didn’t try the pies or the sausage rolls but they looked incredible. Would strongly recommend!

The food was fantastic and the staff are really friendly. Great selection of teas as well for such a small place. I'll definitely be back

100% would recommend, far better than going to a chain. Loads of gluten free options available and all food cooked fresh, plus lovely staff!
