Small but perfect Brasilian cafe. Proper Brasilian food - Fejoada, Bacalhau etcetera, large selection of fruit juices and Caipirinhas, and the best Pastel de Nata this side of Belem in Lisbon (without the 300m queue). Worth a train ride to Reading to sample ! Not open evenings though. Extremely relaxing atmosphere but service prompt and friendly.

Best coffee in the town! Plus fantastic homemade food at reasonable prices. In the shop loads of very interesting things, suitable for unusual gifts - they are not available in the supermarkets, anyway. Worth visiting.

Great Brazilian shop + family restaurant. The feijoada was exactly as I remember in Brazil, home made, and I could feel the love that Ivy (I hope is the right spelling) put in that plate! Something difficult to write in words but that feeling of a mom’s or auntie’s plate that has a special touch. Very good variety of dishes and snacks at a good price, made with Brazilian products. Easy to park in the nearby streets (for free for 2h). No doubt I would go again - I want to try more, and 100% recommend it!

Really friendly staff, and delicious food! The Feijoada a moda da casa and Vaca Atolada were both really great (particularly with added chilli!) and the Pastel de Nata is better than many that we had in Lisbon!

Food is fantastic. I keep coming back. I like going on my own because I can take my time to enjoy the food, the music, the beer etc.

My new favourite lunch spot! The food was delicious with a wide variety of vegetarian options. What a wonderful atmosphere- it feels like visiting someone in their dining room and the owners’ warm hospitality matches the ambiance of the cafe. I’ll be back for custard tarts and coffee!

Super friendly service, great location, not far from the city centre, we had chicken for lunch and it was delicious. The juice was also super good.
