Beautiful food, generously portioned. Starter of ham hock & foie gras with an excellent piccalilli and accompaniment of drizzled salad. The toast was pretty serious; mind your teeth and gums! Main of duck breast was delicious, with the meat just perfectly cooked. Sticky toffee pud in honour of me being the eternal schoolboy (even at this, my sixtieth celebration), with a glass of muscadet. Every single course was absolutely spot on, and the service was out of this world. Maria from Argentina, you deserve a medal. X

Always good food at London Street! Had dinner with a friend and we both had the £16.50 2 course menu. Good value, generous portions and super tasty! I had the fried duck egg starter and the Asian sticky pork for mains washed down with a virgin pomegranate Margarita! My friend had the macadamia curd with Chicory to start (YUM) and the salt beef main! For a Wednesday the place was packed and having to turn away disappointed diners who hadn't booked! Always greats service too!

What a gem. First visit and only had a starter as a light lunch. Friendly staff, lovely varied menu. Good food, good atmosphere, will definitely be back next time I'm in Reading.

A treat from start to finish. Welcoming staff, great food as ever, excellent service. Haven't been in years since I moved from the area, and it didn't take long to remember why this was my favourite restaurant. Hoping to go back again soon.

Fabulous food, setting and service!. This is my favorite restaurant! The food served here is of a spectacular standard. The service is impeccable and the tables are fabulously placed so that you are not sitting on top of each other. Reasonably priced and fantastically presented. The atmosphere is very relaxed and you never feel rushed, a great place to eat drink and be merry, you wont want to leave.

We took advantage of the ‘Graduation Menu’ to enjoy delicious food. One of my favourite haunts in Berkshire. Should not be missed as a treat.

Not only was the food delicious, but also the staff working there was very friendly and helpful! They let me keep the bike in a safe space and everyone who came to serve us was lovely. Because I’ve celebrated my birthday I even got a surprise present! It was a very nice evening, so I recommend them 100%!

On my way to a lunch bowl of ramen, I spotted a menu which hooked me right away with the words ‘Cornish Cuttlefish’ I was in the mood for some calves liver too so popped in and was seated right away on a lovely patio balcony overlooking the river. The salad did not disappoint, not chewy seafood, citrusy watercress & green beans with diced fresh pineapple and some excellent tomatoes. The liver dish was absolutely perfectly cooked, the bacon and roast shallots in a pool of excellent demi which I scraped up with my fork to avoid licking the plate! I left the random pea shoots and wished for more chopped parsley. Nice lemon tart & espresso to finish. Definitely coming back!

It's all well presentable, waiter are very active and good. I order pepper and salt squid are very good as appetizers but my main is monk fish and prawn with rendang it's a no for me because it doesn't taste rendang. I am asian and can cook much better rendang. But everything is good.

We had a large group (24) celebration dinner here and the team at London Street Brasserie were great from when we were enquiring and booking to serving on the day and even learning some of our names by the end! Food was of high quality and everyone has remarked on how nice it was. There were also plenty of options for those with dietary requirements. Sorry I don't know the names of who served us but it was truly a lovely evening, would highly recommend :)

This place is an absolute gem! Delicious, mouthwatering food with cheerful staff and well coordinated servers. It has a nice and small area which backs off to the river which is an added bonus for those warm days and evenings. The service timing was right on time for every course. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

London Street Brasserie located on the riverside at The Oracle is one of my favourite places to eat. It’s a special treat so I don’t go often but I have never been disappointed. The venue itself oozes class and is a relaxed chic? environment spread across a couple of floors and outside on the riverside terrace. Tables are spaced apart well giving you a bit of my space privacy for your date or dining companions. The menu offers good choices across meat, poultry, game, fish and vegan. The wine list is impressive and you probably can’t buy a bad wine. Prices are inline with this though so choose wisely. The staff are very professional, polite, friendly and attentive. Tip: if you are going to have a starter and a main (and perhaps desert) don’t get the bread appetiser. Don’t get me wrong, the artesian bread is fresh, warm and delicious but there is a lot of it. Not a bad thing in itself but if you fill up on bread you will struggle with your main! The starter and main portion sizes are deceptive. Don’t fill up in bread! Also, maybe don’t buy two bottles of wine straight from the off. My date and I struggled to finish our bottle of red and white respectively (though to be fair she did a better job putting it away than I did!). Love this place and totally recommend it. Excellent place to take your date, your partner or your spouse. Also for a couples treat you can’t go wrong. Pricier than most local competition but as a treat: so worth it.

Brilliant food and leger-rustic, but still elegant ambience. Perfect for a date or a small birthday celebration. We went with fish this time and I can higjly recommend the Halibut. They don‘t save up with the portion and serve it with a perfectly tastefully matched butter sauce. The Seabass is definitely also a go to. With truffle chips, a buratta as starters and a bottle of shiraz it was a rounded up evening. I would love to come here again!

Excellent food, fantastic service and in a lively setting. Great to eat at somewhere independent and local in Reading rather than the many chains that are around. Would highly recommend!
