Really lovely place to wine and dine! Me and my partner had a waiter called paolo and he made the experience excellent we had to tip him at the end for how lovely he made our night, nothing was to much trouble. Definitely recommend and will be returning some time soon! Thanks again miller and carter for a wonderful evening!
Been here a few times , never disappointed with the food or the service , not the cheapest but you pay for what you get .

Had a fantastic meal last night. Food and service were excellent. The steak and bbq glazed chicken were cooked to perfection. Great choice of drinks. Highly recommend the BlackBerry fizz and mango melba. Marco our waiter was excellent. Cannot wait to go back again.
I’ve been to a miller an carter a few times this one had the best service. Steak was massively under done. Cooked it more brought out on fresh plate new chips new everything without a fuss and still apologised.

Mother's day meal with family - amazing food & company - thoroughly enjoyed it!!
I started with Scallops & for Mains had Fillet Steak, Blue cheese & Stilton Lettuce with a Porcini Mushroom & Black Garlic dressing. I chose White Waters Chenin Blanc to accompany my meal which was very morrish. Staff and service were excellent on a very busy Friday evening. A delightful experience.
My family and I came to your restaurant last night.... we couldnt fault a thing. Service was great and the food was just amazing. Highly recommend Miller & Carter.

Went out with my parents for my Birthday we had the most excellent service from the staff , nothing was too much trouble, my party even received a free glass of prosseco ! The food was cooked to perfection and even tho they ran out of cheesecake the choc brownie was lovely. Will be definitely book a table again!
The steak were delicious especially with the beef dripping! Our waiter Kosta was very attentive and really good at his job! Always a great night at M&C ❤️

Excellent service as always! I have been here a few times and never had a bad experience. I had an 8oz fillet steak and my partner had the 12oz sirloin and it was cooked to our liking, our waiter was also lovely, giving us a great deal on a bottle of prosecco and filling our glasses up for us when it got low, we will definitely be returning!
Ambience - stock steakhouse decor with meat depictions splashed across the walls in a warmly lit spacious set up.
Service - prompt and efficient for the most part. During busy lunch/dinner times, you could wait a few minutes to get some attention.

House Sour - good choice!
Elderflower Spritzer - too sour to be enjoyed!
Thorny Cow - a balanced taste!
Berry Fizz - can improve on presentation!
Appetizers :-
Dusted Calamari served with garlic and chive mayonnaise - pieces of calamari was deep fried making them crunchy.
Lemongrass and Chilli Tempura served with sweet Chilli jam - the jam itself had a good thick texture. The prawns were a bit too small!
Mains :-
Ribeye (12oz) - medium well served with French fries, a few lettuce leaves dressed with garlic and parmesan along with peppercorn sauce. The meat was tender. Could do with more seasoning though!
Fillet (8oz) - medium served with fries, lettuce with a bacon mustard dressing along with a rich borderlaise sauce. Again, the seasoning would have taken the steak to a whole new level! The crispy onion loaf added some needed crunch.
Bourbon Roasted Shropshire Chicken - looked a bit dull in appearance but tasted a tad better. Mushrooms were tasty.
Barbecue Glazed Chicken - the marinade was tasty but the portion was tiny and cannot be a meal by itself. Served with sweet potato fries and a piece of crispy onion loaf.
Battered Fish n Chips - the fish tasted soft and moist on the inside of a crunchy batter!
Dessert :-
Sticky Toffee Pudding - served warm with a beautiful texture, the vanilla ice cream alongside made it an extremely worthy dessert.
Banoffee Pie - the BEST dish of the entire meal. An exquisite caramel base with crunchy biscuit shreds and caramelised bananas, I do not remember having a better Banoffee for a long long time. Highly recommended!
Price :-
A meal should cost in the tune of 35-40 pounds a head with a drink and dessert. When in the mood to indulge, the overall experience is decent !
Delicious food, steaks cooked perfectly and lovely Crispy fresh lettuce. The wine recommendation was delicious. The staff are so pleasant and helpful. Mendez our waiter was very funny and made our experience feel personal and special. Can't wait to go again, will be back soon.
Miller & Carter Oracle
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miller & Carter Oracle in Reading, and I was very impressed. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting.
Our waitress, Jordan, was particularly outstanding. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. She made sure that we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our meal.
I would highly recommend Miller & Carter Oracle to anyone looking for a great dining experience. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion.
Had a great birthday meal for my partner here. Very attentive service. Food was excellent. The zinfandel rosé was sweet and delightful (highly recommended) plus they were able to send us a small birthday cake even though we didn't request anything in advance. The meal was a bit more on the expensive side as a 3 course meal with wine for two people was £92, however... the steak was fantastic and much better than anywhere else in Reading.
Steak experiences are a thing! Who would have thought it, but I love this idea and its such good value for money.
The service was impeccable with proper check backs throughout, suggestions on what to eat or how best to have it and things to consider that you wouldn’t otherwise think of.
As it was a celebration meal we were going all out and couldn’t miss starters even though the mains promised to be immense.
SALT & PEPPER CALAMARI - Crispy fried squid, oak-smoked garlic and lemon aioli dip. This was an interesting choice for me as I know very few places can cooked calamari without it being used as a hair band. This was good and delivered crunchy crispy battered calamari pieces that were soft.
BAKED CHEDDAR MUSHROOMS (V) - Creamy Cheddar cheese and spinach sauce with toasted breads. Rich and gooey, and a very handsome serving.
BEEF BARBACOA MAC & CHEESE - a goooood string pull, soft macaroni and plenty of cheese!
PRAWN & AVOCADO COCKTAIL - Fresh avocado, baby gem lettuce and Bloody Mary sauce. prawns were a decent size, cooked well with large chunks of avo.
Each main comes with a choice of a lettuce wedge. Not a dish for me, but I get it! Lettuce is freshly cut, nice palate cleanser and adds a good crisp cold crunch.
We tucked into 2 steak experiences at our table.
I shared the Millers Cote De Boeuf Experience which is a 24oz Côte de Boeuf steak with a bottle of Argentinian Malbec, grilled lobster tail, sautéed greens and beef barbacoa mac & cheese.
There is no way you are going to be hungry after this. We did however demolish the entire steak and sides as it was too delicious not too.
We requested our steak blue/rare and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. This came with a crispy potato cake, chips and sauces too. The lobster tail was smothered in garlic and delivered juicy and succulent to our table. The Malbec went down a treat and rounded off this meal perfectly.
This experience costs £100 but if you take into consideration the price of 2 steaks (around £30-£35 each) plus wine and all the sides, this is a good deal. So worth it!
The other steak experience was the Butchers Block 27oz. This is the best way to explore a variety of steak flavours and cuts. It included a 50 day aged Black Angus Ribeye 10oz, 30 day aged Rump 7oz and two cuts of 50 day aged Black Angus Fillet 5oz. Served with beef brisket and topped bone marrow, potato cake and sauces. This experience is £71.95 and again, I think good value for money.
Other orders to the table included Half Rack of Barbeque Ribs, which unfortunately arrived a little cold, but was soon whisked away and replaced with steaming hot ribs, and the Maple Glazed Chicken.
I’ll definitely be recommending Miller & Carter as a go to steak restaurant and I am keen to try the ones here in Edinburgh.
The restaurant is decorated in a traditional style, is very spacious, and not too loud even when full. It's located on the riverside as part of The Oracle shopping district. The menu consists of steak plus other traditional, British, meat-based dishes. Our steak was delicious, as were the sauces, sides, and salad that came with it. However, the dessert was disappointing: very small and not hugely flavourful either. The staff were very polite and attentive.
I had a lovely time here with my spouse and was pleasantly surprised by the range of gluten free options and the friendliness of our waiter Adrian. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was exquisite. Pictured is my spouses food the dirty burger.

Excellent steak on Father's Day. The Father's Day Special Tomohawk Steak was unavailable at 1.15pm !! Not a problem for me, as I wasn't having that anyway 😂. Our server was especially attentive and happy.
I don't know where to begin. This has to be one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. The atmosphere was brilliant. The place was packed and there was a real buzz in the air. Our server, Hannah, was amazing and very attentive and friendly. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. Best service we have ever experienced from a restaurant.
The food was so good, the steak I had with bordelaise sauce and a side of ribs was delicious, and one of, if not, the best steak I have ever had. My partner had a full rack of ribs and fully enjoyed it. We wanted to chat, but we just couldn't stop eating the great food.
We then had dessert. I had a creamy, rich banoffee pie, which was just such a treat to eat. My partner had a fantastic pavlova, which her eyes lit up when it was placed in front of her. She wolfed it down.
I'm definitely going to be returning. Maybe February to celebrate a birthday. Can't wait to come back and try the other steaks and have such great service again.
My booking was for a family group of 15 to celebrate my birthday. Our group were really well looked after by our waitress Nikol. Our food was served to all of us at the same time with everyone happy with their order. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
The food and service here is amazing. For starters I had the baked mushrooms in a cheese sauce. The main I had a sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding which again was amazing. I would definitely go back and eat there again.
Food was absolutely amazing today, we all enjoyed our meals they was so tasty and cooked to perfection. 10/10 to the chef!!! Service was fantastic, the waiter Sien was really friendly, helpful and had a good laugh with us, making us all feel really comfortable. I would certainly recommend this place. 😊👍
The T-bone steak was tasty. Only, it wasn't as tender as I would want it. In addition, chunky chips would be a better option to serve this meal with. As a result, we didn't eat our fries because they were thin and it was a lot of work to pick up a hundred of them as they were breaking up.
This was my first visit to Miller and Carter - I’ll definitely be going back. The food was amazing. The steaks are delicious. What made it truly special though was the service we received from our waiter Sien. He was extremely knowledgeable and also super friendly. He gave us fantastic advice on how to get our steaks cooked and also recommended a fabulous wine to accompany it. I moved away from a full bodied wine that I would usually go for and tried a much lighter Malbec he suggested instead. He was absolutely on the money! It did work much better with our meal. All in all - highly recommend this restaurant. The fact that it was fully booked is also testament to the brilliant service offering.
Although it is a noisy place, Marco was really nice, the food was good, the chicken and steak were excellent, the nachos was ok, the salad was really small.
I would say we enjoined the ambiance most of all.
the last time I visited the place, it was very cold outside, but warm inside, and we had great food and great drinks, and what made the visit perfect, was the host, AREK, he was so nice and had the effort to explain the menu items for each guest who asked about any clarification, and he did the same with drinks and wines, thank you Arek, it seems the restaurant management have excellent skills in choosing the staff.
The attention to the detail is fantastic, always I am greeted with a smile, served with great food that is well presented and made to an industry leading standard. This is all made possible by the hardworking people that run this place, from the kitchen to the front of house. The service and the food given, combines well with the presentation, atmosphere and the decor. It makes you feel you relaxed and comfortable. Kris, Marco, Mia, Olivia, Sien and many more, thank you!
