Eaten here 2/3 times now and it's been faultless every single time. If they are full up expect to wait maybe 20/25 minutes for your food. The wait is only because everything is cooked fresh and comes out nice and hot.
All the staff are lovely, it's also dog friendly. The menu is good and there is lots to choose from. Iv'e had the cooked breakfast a few times and the breakfast burrito too. The vegan sausages are surprisingly good.

The Yard is an absolute gem. Went as a family of 6 (and dog) and had the best lunch in a long time. Burgers, ploughman’s, fish finger sandwiches, wraps, fruit smoothies and milkshakes….all absolutely delicious. You will have to wait 20-25 mins for your food to arrive but it’s worth the wait to have a freshly-made, delicious food at an affordable price.
This is a family-run business. We all need to support businesses like this which provide amazing food, outstanding and friendly service, and keen prices on our doorstep. Lots of parking in the local area less than a 5 min walk away.
Very welcoming hosts. Drinks were really presented above the norm. Very fair pricing too. Mexican menu is uncomplicated so easy to choose the right dish. It looked great on the plate and tasted really nice. My. Wife, daughter and I will go again, We recommend to our friends.
Sat in for late breakfast and was not disappointed. Amazing food, great service and chilled atmosphere. Definitely would recommend. We also saw they do Mexican night during the week so will try this out too
Went in on a busy Saturday morning with our dog and got seated and served quickly. I had the chicken thigh, poached eggs benedict and my partner had bacon and poached eggs on malted toast. Served quickly, and staff, although really busy, were tentative and pleasant :) The coffee is much nicer and very reasonably priced against high street chains and the smoothie was flavoursome and plentiful.
Portions are generous and the menu is updated regualrly which is great to see. We will be back to see what else is on offer soon!
We have eaten and enjoyed coffees here on many occasions but this is the first review. This is an amazing little spot right off the main High Street and its refreshing to see a Mexican twist on some classic dishes. I had the Eggs Mexicana which was outstanding. The Coffee was also the best in Rayleigh by far!

Visited The Yard for the first time at the weekend. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Was advised , before ordering, that they were experiencing a little delay with food. We ordered milkshakes and toasted sandwiches. The milkshakes were delicious. The food came out fairly quickly, so no delay. I had a brie and bacon toasted sandwich. Was so nice. Bacon nice and crispy too. We will definitely be returning and will recommend
Dined there with my family on one of their Mexican nights. The food and service was great start to finish. The menu was almost entirely gluten free which was great for me and my aunt. The chef came and spoke to us re gluten allergy. After a few bottles of wine and some lovely cocktails, we left very happy. We will return for their breakfast or bottleless brunch
Service a bit slow, but lovely girls and ladies. Not too much on offer for gluten free diners. The only menu available was the afternoon one, I had hoped for some Mexican food. White wine was New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc😃. No bloody Mary though
Had a late breakfast here. I had the full English which was very good. Reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit.
Gluten free afternoon tea was delicious! The scone was incredible. The owner is an allergy specialist nurse and so I could fully trust her.

Went to try Cocktails and it was lovely didn't have any food due to day drinking but what they bought out for other tables looked really good which is why I haven't posted a score

Food qas brilliant, good price, served hot good choice on the menu good portion size. Waitress was helpful polite and friendly. Only thing I would change was how close we were sitting next to the people at the next table.

I went to The Yard today with a friend and it was amazing! I had won a prize in a raffle for 2 brunch’s plus drinks so I thought I’d check it out. On first impressions it was great, I loved the way it was decorated/designed. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I noticed that dogs were also welcome too which is always a 👍🏼from
me. I had an english breakfast and my friend had the vegetarian option. We both swopped bits around and this was absolutely fine. Both breakfasts were delicious 😋 We will both be returning and will be recommending to our friends.
