Locations for a new cafe/restaurant opening don’t come much more dramatic than the newly opened Royal Harbour Brasserie on the extreme tip of Ramsgate Royal Harbour.

Loved everything!! At first, before entering, we were thinking that it wasn't really a restaurant because it was a bit remote but once you enter you find a lovely salon with even nicer terrace that you wouldn't expect from the outside! The waitresses were lovely, even the chef came out several times to bring us some stuff that he just did. Very nice fish and very fresh. Loved the mussels with garlic and cream and the fresh turbot with prawns! We'll definitely come back!

Lovely, quirky, warm seafood place hidden in a James Bond-like building serving delicious food with a stunning view on the entire Ramsgate port. Highly recommended. Have the fresh oyster, the beef cheeks, the black ink risotto, and the stone bass with a glass of Sauvignon blanc.

Fabulous food. I was still thinking about the Garlic Prawn starter the next day, they were the best I've ever had. The hake was cooked to perfection, my partner enjoyed the duck and his succulent burger. We just had to have dessert. There are views over the harbour and one side looks to the sea. We lingered longer to soak in the atmosphere and cool music. We had a drink each and a coffee to finish. The price I felt was good value and so worth the experience. The staff were super friendly and attentive, but not intrusive.

In fairness I didn't choose the right dish (fish and chips) but my partner enjoyed it. Generous portions. Great view day or night.

We had an amazing time here yesterday. We walked out although it was windy and cool , once inside it was warm and welcoming. We both loved every dish we ordered. The mussels were big and so soft, excellent. The salt and pepper squid were crisp outside and perfect inside and not overwhelmed by the salt and pepper as so often happens elsewhere. We asked for extra bread it appeared within seconds then even more butter too. The mains were grilled swordfish, again beautifully soft, on a bed of vegetables and with a piquant sauce too. The fishcake was perfect too and served with a juicy prawn and aspearagus. We also had chips, so good we ordered another bowl of them. We finished off with a Strawberry Eton Mess, also had macaroons included, and a sticky toffee pudding. Drinks were an excellent Pino Grigio and later Brandy. Top marks for food and drink. Service was impressive, wine brought quickly, ordering we were given time and not rushed. Things cleared but we were not rushed and enjoyed our brandies. Staff were professional, kind and always smiling and attentive. Top marks again. Finally the place itself. It looks a bit grim as you walk out. But once inside the restaurant was buzzing, fully booked with good reason. Decor is fun with giant fish and shrims hanging from the ceiling but it is the view that is wonderful. Open sea and the end of the breakwater on one side, the lighthouse and harbour on the other. Again top marks. Just go it is a wonderful place with amazing staff.

Ugly building on the end of the harbour wall with excellent views of the Chanel and Ramsgate harbour. Very good food. Cheery service from the manager and awkward young staff. Dog and child friendly.

What a contradictory place!! As you approach, the smell of urine is unreal and the place looks like an absolute dump! BUT the decor, food, drink and service is top notch!! So glad we didn’t trust our instincts to run away! Imagine if you improved your surroundings guys! On and the loos need sorting too! Loved it though! Oh and it’s dog friendly!!

Had a fantastic meal for four of us. The food was excellent. Fresh & tasty food. The owner was excellent with a smile, even chatting despite being absolutely rushed off her feet due to staff shortage. Great location right at the end of pier with lovely ambience.

Birthday dinner. The restaurant is at the end of the pier and whilst a bit of a windy walk, it was worth it for the food! I had the goats cheese for starters, fish and chips which was just great, and the sticky toffee pud was recommended and I'm glad I got it. The pud was drenched in sauce, cannot recommend enough! Toilets are a little cold 🥶 was a little pricey for a casual dinner but would be more than happy to return on special occasions! Little gem on the pier 🥰

Really lovely, welcoming place. Very friendly attentive staff. My friends and I had the mussels and fish and chips. It was faultless. Great fish, light crispy batter. The chips were chunky, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. My friends couldn’t finish their mussels so I polished them off haha, they were so good. Love the interior decor and the outside space is big and has great views. If I was forced to make a criticism it would be that the drinks took a while to arrive but to be honest, given how good everything else was it’s a negligible (first world) problem 😂 Next time I visit I’m definitely going back. Thank you guys!

We had a wonderful meal at the Brasserie and can't wait to be back. The mussels were stunning and the swordfish was delicious too. The restaurant was super busy due to it being one of the hottest days this summer, but the staff was incredibly nice and apologetic, and even added a couple of extra touches to our dishes to make up for the slower than usual service (thank you for the extra lobster bisque!). Our best meal in town by far.

I've been trying to get my wife to come here for some time and I finally did. Our family was happy. The food was phenomenal. We had the lobster salad, swordfish, and cod and chips. The only negative is it is slightly run-down, but being it's at the end of a jetty, I can see it being difficult to maintain with all the salty air and distance from land. The bottom line is that this is a hidden gem, and I'm happy to recommend it and will be back for another visit.

Had the Sunday Lunch there recently and it was excellent. Tasty, well cooked and well presented. Adrian Mowl's food is consistently of a high standard and I would recommend to all. Alex does a great job at the front of house making you feel special and welcome.

Great restaurant and exciting walk along the pier, in the dark with waves crashing over the pier walls. Great views of the swirling sea while we ate great food (including vegetarian) great wine and pudding too. Staff were very friendly and helpful- we had to phone up and they let us in the lower door as it was too stormy to use the stairs! Going back again for Sunday lunch and the views in daylight!
