An absolutely superb evening with top class food and service. Each course was beautifully presented with exquisite tastes to match. Lovely wine, interesting art work and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back and will continue to recommend you as another great restaurant in Ramsgate.

Been here now a few times - Food , service, settings are fantastic- This is how much I like it - I've just taken 24 yes 24 friends and family older and younger - ages 80- 14. And everybody commented on the service and especially the flavours of the food along with its presentation . The staff made my 24 guest feel like the same as when I take my partner on our own - Things like 24 guest we had a choice of everything of the menus , No waiting - starters came out for everyone as quick as it took them to walk back into the kitchen same as the mains along With the clearing of the empty plates ( we had a very mixed lot of dishes - some had starters as mains with extras - that's what some of my fussy guest wanted ). And the chef accommodated for everyone--- thank you for that , its things like that , that make this for me extra special. This place is a hidden gem . The chef here knows what he is doing and he does that exceptionally well . Sorry to other restaurants but if you took a leaf out of the Empire room I would have more places to choose from.

Quite possibly the best meal i will eat all year. Butternut squash soup was perfectly spiced. Duck with pak choi and potatoes was excellently cooked and presented. The peanut butter dessert was just amazing. I don't even like peanut butter but it was the best dessert ever. This restaurant is a hidden gem. Book up now because you'll have no chance of a table once word is out. Simply perfect.

Excellent food and very efficient service in a cosy setting. Especially if you've not been before, check out their current Wednesday to Saturday lunchtime offer - gourmet food on a budget. Warmly recommended

Excellent lunch here today - well worth the slipping and sliding through snow and black ice to get there! The four dishes that we had between us were all delicious, although we were spoilt for choice in coming to our decisions. We look forward to returning with our friends soon.

Tucked away in the basement of the Royal Harbour Hotel in Ramsgate you will find the beautifully decorated Empire Room restaurant, which captures the essence of an archetypal gentlemens club in the glory days of the British Empire. For pre-dinner drinks there is also a small bar area that amusingly is decorated with “bounced” cheques from Claridge’s in London! (I kid you not). This place has the look and feel of a special occasion venue but surprisingly with its set lunch (£15 for 3 courses including a glass of wine) and set dinner menus (£22 for 3 courses) you won’t need to spend a fortune to have a lovely meal here.

Simply amazing, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. A quirky restaurant where you could order anything and know it will be nice. The scotch egg starter was absolutely delicious, as were the sea bass main and poached pear dessert. A prime example of simple food made special.

Cooked to perfection ! Actually my favourite place to eat in Ramsgate. It's on par with the Corner House, Minster. The quality of the food and presentation is exceptional! The portion sizes are just right and the cosy intimate dining room provides the perfect ambience for a special meal! thank you. :))) Make sure you try the Hake fillet with the spiced potatoes ... YUM!!

A lucky find while we were staying in Ramsgate for a few nights. It's a small basement restaurant decorated with Empire (British) type memorabilia and is nice and cosy. The food we had was amazing, and with a bottle of wine and a few beers was under £100 for two of us. We will definitely return when next in the area and would recommend to anyone.

Went for dinner here recently. Both the food and service were excellent. Ramsgate is very lucky to have a restaurant of this standard, even if it is only temporary. This place deserves your support.

Had dinner with friends Friday evening and the food was fantastic!!Had the curried Hake and loved it so much that Saturday night on our way back to London we turned the car around and headed back to the restaurant. We had to beg them to find us some space which they very kindly did. Also the crumpets are great!

Delicious food and welcoming staff. Only let down by the man on the table next to us talking on his mobile phone throughout the meal. A good restaurant would have asked him to stop or go outside.
