Came in over the weekend during the chocolate festival and to say the pub has been closed the place was in full swing. The staff managed to get everyone’s orders out quickly and efficiently, and I received great tasting beer. Overall it’s a great night under new management with a Dj in over the weekend as well as happy hour for £3 pints Tuesday to Thursday 5pm - 8pm.

Good location for those on the train trail as directly facing the station. The pub has a warm and friendly atmosphere with a great staff and a homely food menu. For those that like the football they have plenty of screens up for the big matches and a DJ on at the weekends. It is a Dog friendly pub with a big eating/drinking area outside when the weather allows. Great advert for a great Town.

Lost my wallet at the pub, landlord was nice enough to open up after hours to give it to me. Cheers.

I went to the railway pub last night for the first time friends n my husband. We went to see a live band called the midnight hour. This pub was amazing, such a good atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. We even ended up dancing behind the bar with the landlord to rolling on a river!!! I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants a good night with amazing music and a good atmosphere!!

The service is great and staff is friendly. The food is in-standard (but slightly expensive) Because of its unique location, it is a great place to recharge yourself if you are waiting for the steam train in Ramsbottom Station.

We visited here several times whilst staying at a local campsite. Everytime we went in the service by all the staff was excellent. Especially the lady chef, we spoke with her as our family was coming to visit us for the day and we wanted to bring them to the pub for a meal, my mother in law needs gluten free options. Eventhough you don't have a Pacific gluten free menu, which is no problem because you're lady chef came and spoke to us and she did everything possible to try and accommodate this. The food was absolutely excellent and great value for money. A little note for the manager, what an excellent team you have there. Everything was perfect even when the pub was extremely busy, the whole experience was 5*

It’s not bad, and the beer garden is quite big, and quirky

A beautiful, traditional Pub located in the market town of Ramsbottom just a few miles from Bury. The Railway has a warm atmosphere and you feel at home straight away. Great beer and a nice place to meet up with friends. They serve food so you can have a nice meal. Great Pub to visit if your in town..

Excellent service. Popped in for a drink after a meal up the road. We asked for a taxi on leaving which the bar staff sorted out, and even let us know when it was outside. Perfect

This pub has the menu and feel of a chain pub, but the young man on duty today went above and beyond the call of duty to arrange a ‘cake’ with a candle for my daughter’s toys ‘birthday’ Bravo that Man!

Decent pub grub. I had the fish and chips. Sat outside with the dogs in the sun with a couple of pints. Can’t go wrong!

A pleasant place to visit, with a good range of well-priced drinks. The beer garden is very smart with covered booths (with individual light and heaters!) as well as open air tables.

What a fantastic evening we had in here, we went for the Christmas menu, well all I can say is we wouldn’t have got better service if we had gone to a 5 star restaurant. Vicky who looked after us was brilliant so attentive and quick. And for the price 3 courses for £15.99 The food was lovely and lots of it and then to top it off we were given a piece of cake with candles on for my hubbys birthday. I would recommend anyone to go and we will certainly be back. Thank you

Nice pub. We just popped in for a quick drink before getting our train back to Bury. The food looked delicious although we had no time to try. Friendly staff and a good selection of beer and wines. Would go back to try the food.
