On Sundays, the Hearth do a special menu with 2 courses for £20.95 or 3 courses for £25.95.  Hannah and I chose to share two starters from the 'Nibbles' section, which are smaller options but are just a little bit special. We always have to try the 'Hearth of the Ram Scotch Eggs'.  If you end up eat

We'll definitely be going back to Hearth of the Ram. We were made to feel really welcome by everyone we came in contact with and the food was well executed.

Food high points: we found most of the food to be of a very high standard – on an exceptional level: the Scotch Egg, Lamb Rump and Triple Cooked Chips stood out.

Family was visiting from Florida and we decided to try a meal at Hearth of the Ram. Everyone had something different and there was no complaints. I personally had the beef burger with bacon and cheddar cheese. It was huge and flavorful. Chips were nicely done. Beer was good and cold. We had 5 or 6 different servers check on Us or provide things asked for. The price was more than We normally spend on a meal, but by no means felt they were over the top. I had read other reviews here with complaints about how long food took or lack of service. It was surely not the case on our visit. The place was fairly busy with people seated indoors and outdoors since weather was great. We had drinks in 5 minutes, our meals served at 40 minutes. Nice atmosphere inside the place.

Read the review and got so confused as I have a lovely experience at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and switched on. The food was lovely. Pizza has nice crust on them and the duck was tasty

Big shout out to Ewan and staff for making my 50th birthday last night at short notice for 9. Perfect disabled access for my mum, and the 3 steaks that were ordered were all cooked to perfection. Not one complaint about the food! It was delicious 💙

Nice gastro pub with a great selection of beer and wine. I visited on a Monday and it wasn't too busy but there were enough customers to make the place buzz. For starter I had the Black Pudding Terrine which was good, main was the Pan Fried Goosnargh Duck Breast which was amazingly tasty but a bit tough and the sweet was Sticky Toffee pudding. All in all a nice meal, not cheap, but nice.

It's a very nice place, in a nice location... The food is well portioned, and well presented... The only thing that let it down is the extortionate price... £74 for 2 to have 3 courses... I would go again, but probably only if they have special offers on, or if I win the lottery 🙄

Went here for Sunday lunch. Lovely atmosphere in the conservatory. Some great local ales too. Starters were absolutely amazing. Mine courses slightly less impressive, yorkshire a bit over done etc. Also, while I know it's a personal pet peeve (!) I ordered a pie and instead got a casserole with a very thin pastry lid. Overall would recommend, but there's a lot of equally good places locally.

Had dinner here with friends last year during a stay for a wedding. It was particularly busy so we had to wait at the bar for a table. Service was slow as you can imagine during busy periods. The food was very good as were the drinks. The overall decor and feel was great, we were sat out in the conservatory area which was warm too.

The cooking here is of a good standard. Tasty food well presented and efficiently served. Prices are on the higher side for certain items.

We had an absolutely outstanding meal here. Possibly the tastiest food I've had in years. The only quibble is that all the vegetarian options are based around goat's cheese. Plenty of meat and fish options though.

Pleasantly surprised after hearing some mixed reviews. It was very busy, but the lady at front of House was very welcoming. The service was very good, and although we were a party of eleven, the food was served on time. The haddock and chips was very good. I won't hesitate to return. A year on and how things change. Pizza was very doughy, with thick unappetising crust, not particularly tasty either. Two of our party had the steak sandwich, again the bread was tough and difficult to bite into. The restaurant just had a tired feeling, plus they were serving a reduced menu, for a street café fine, but not a so called restaurant. We won't be returning.
