My parents have just returned from an overnight stay here, and they can't recommend you enough. On checking in the staff were so friendly and accommodating, going into the bedroom it surpassed their expectation. The colour, style, cleanliness and comfort was fantastic, the complimentary, prosseco, beer, fruit etc was such a wonderful touch. Their evening meal was from the festive menu, she said it's the best Xmas meal she's had in 70years (that's her age). Personally I would like to say Thankyou so much for making them feel totally looked after, great start to Xmas 2017. Larraine & Pat Foley

Wow, just wow! Amazing ethos behind this place and superb food. Yes we had a long wait for the food but the quality of the meal was excellent and well worth the wait. We will be back!

Thank you for another superb meal! My grandad absolutely devoured the Lancashire hot pot and the Christmas turkey dinner was amazing (wish I could perform it that well on the day) I couldn’t recommend it more, definitely up there with the best service & value for money in comparison to other pubs/restaurants in the area.

Had a fantastic New Years Eve meal at Eagle and Child. It was a 5 course menu and all courses were absolutely delicious. Squid ink risotto with lobster and mango - UNREAL!! The chocolate fondant dessert was also pretty special. Lovely staff too; they were really welcoming and attentive. We stayed over in one of the hotel rooms and it was perfect, great decor and facilities!! We will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you for a fab trip away

Fabulous view from the conservatory area. The food was delicious and a change from the usual pub grub, although that was also on offer. A warm welcome from the staff and a little recipe postcard was a nice touch. Can't wait to return.

Completely taken aback by how much this place has changed since my last visit. I had the Roasted parsnip risotto with balsamic shallots, green peppercorn cream cheese and spiced almonds and it was absolutely amazing

Had Sunday lunch here with my wife and can quite honestly say if was an excellent experience. The food was the best I have had in many years along with superb service and table location which had a view over to Peel Tower. I found the young lady who welcomed us to be extremely professional and had a perfect mannar. I have dined at many fine restaurants in this world and can say the Sunday lunch we had consisting of the beef roast was as good as it gets. I can only comment on the restaurant. Well done to you. Went again 3 weeks later and totally different, slow service and the Sunday roast was poor, very dry Yorkshire pudding and fatty beef. this may have been an off week but it was poor.

We had a lovely stay here for one night. Pleasantly surprised by the complimentary drinks and snacks, and they went the extra mile to provide vegan food in the breakfast hamper with barely any notice. The room was clean, stylish, and the shower had great water pressure! Friendly and helpful staff too.

Had dinner in the restaurant and the food was amazing! Definitely worth the price point, in my opinion. The staff were lovely too. Would definitely come again. I wouldn't recommend it for larger groups as there were roughly 10 of us and we were split up into 3 tables in one of the rooms. The staff said that due to health and safety reasons, we couldn't move the tables.

Great selection of good food sourced locally. Staff very knowledgeable about their produce. Great service and helpful staff. Excellent views from the dining room over the Irwell Valley. In good weather an excellent garden and outside seating with a teepee. There are rooms but I've not used.

Visited the beer garden yesterday for a few drinks and the best pizza I have had in as long as I can remember! Staff are lovely and prices are reasonable. Plenty of seats and place to shelter if desired. Definitely worth a visit!

Such an amazing place to have on our doorstep! It's basically three great pubs in one. If you want a traditional pub with great beers and proper pub grub (I had an excellent homemade chicken & ham hock pie), you've got it. If you want something a bit more special, they've got a really beautiful restaurant (my father-in-law had the rack of lamb, perfectly cooked with a really delicious and unusual lamb ragu). If you want a proper sun trap, the beer garden is fantastic and the pizzas from the wood-fired oven are hard to resist (I've tried and failed several times). The staff are lovely and really welcoming. Feel very lucky to have it within walking distance - it's worth a trip for!

Attended a friend's wedding in the garden. It was utterly wonderful. The vegan options on the grazing board were delicious. The outdoor pizza oven and chef churned out a cracking vegan pizza, including violife cheese! The staff are all adorable, friendly, and attentive. I popped up to the bar for a much needed cuppa, and the bar staff were all chatty and couldn't do enough for you. Also had plant milks. Bonus. The garden area is a wonderful space, scenic view looking over to Holcombe Hill, plenty of comfortable seating, and the decor in the tent was so pretty. Perfect for an intimate, relaxed wedding party. I loved it, and everyone else looked like they did too.

I like this place, it’s my local, and I don’t like leaving bad reviews, so I’ll rate as 4 stars as on the whole it’s usually decent. Today however was a joke. Took my daughter and her friends in after her birthday party and spent £100+ on pizza. Both orders were totally messed up and the second part was delivered after 1.5 hours. It was unenjoyable. I asked for a refund and was told I’ll see what I can do… then ignored. A mate of mine was in there and his order was also completely messed up also, yet he was refunded. I like the pub, but next time we want to go for pizza we’ll be giving somewhere else a try.

We hired the tipi in the garden for our wedding and cannot recommend enough! If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere, fabulous food and staff who literally go out of their way to make sure all is well then you absolutely need to book Eagle and Child. Thank you to Jack and the rest of the team - you guys are awesome and made our day extra special. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate our next event with you! The new Mr and Mrs Cuncarr

We called in for a couple of pints on a week day evening bathed in sunshine, that experience was only made better by a fabulous beer garden at the rear which must get the majority of sun any day of the week. Reasonably price Morretti for and Inchs Cider for the misses, back ground tunes as well. Extremely nice spot

Stayed for one night over the Bank Holiday weekend. Loved the room and the facilities, the breakfast hamper and the accompanying items in the room mini fridge. Softest, whitest towels I've seen for ages

First time visiting Eagle & Child Inn for a Family Birthday Meal, and I have to say that this is a little hidden Gem on the outskirts, Ramsbottom!! 🤩... The first impression on walking in is the place has an amazing contemporary but well balance modern finish inside, With some stunning period features. We were met by a very friendly and helpful staff member who seated us at our table. As it was a family gathering, they had kindly adjusted the layout in the restaurant area to accommodate the eight of use.!! Would recommend phoning ahead if your wishing dine an your large party.. They have an amazing selection of draft beer & cider along with a comprehensive wine list 🍷. Or if ya fancy something more tropical, they have a great selection of cocktails & Gins.!!! 🍹 The food honneslty was amazing!! With a wide selection of seasonal but well thought out and refined dishes on offer. This is deffently not ya tippical pud grub level food. This is more high-end Michelle star style cuisine 🤩🤩.. the complexity of flavours, honneslty was just wow!!! I had the scallop starter, and I say I've never tasted scallops like that before, so nutty & smokey with a sweat tone!! My only complaint was there wasn't more!!! 😋😍.. I would seriously recommend visiting if you're passing, even if it's just for a drink! it's well worth checking out!! The pub does offer a menu for kids, an also is pet friendly, Believe dogs are just not allowed in the main dining / restaurant area. They do have a rely large out door seating area to the back pud, or if ya fancy dining elfesco why not eat in the TPee out back. Will deffently be recommend to friends & Family an certainly be going back at some point soon!!
