What a fabulous place. Recommended by family, it definitely did not disappoint. The food was spectacular, the service excellent and the whole place had a very relaxed atmosphere for eating with friends. Will certainly be back.
Went here today for Mothers Day. The menu was lovely, staff friendly and polite, chefs and kitchen area calm and happy even though busy. Did not feel rushed even though people were waiting for tables. Such a relaxed place to have a proper catch up with friends and family. Will be back for the 1kg steak. Ps. The cheesecake (freshly made) was to die for. Well done and thank you.
Well this place lived up to the hype. The food is outstanding. Everyone of the 10 dishes we had was top quality. Great service and ambiance.
A spectacular find, Spanish Tapas, better than many quality restaurants in Spain. Awesome flavours, great staff, attentive and courteous. Definitely worth visiting well done Mac, a great choice. You’re so lucky to have it on your doorstep.
Wow, I've been a few times introduced by my sister in law and so knew I had to go with one of my friends who is a real foodie!! Didn't disappoint. We ate the fish side of the menu all cooked to perfection. We had a lovely time having the perfect lunch, excellent food, excellent wine and a fantastic catch up in a perfect setting. 5 star is definitely not enough!!
Yes we went again. Yes we love the food. It's a real gem in the local area and although I'd hate to not be able to get in on the basis of recommending through a positive review, I can't help it. It's a place for foodies, for people who like a nice atmosphere to eat and drink and a great place to while away a few hours. Make sure you try the steak - top quality meat and worth the price tag. We'll be back again and again.
Levanter is our 'Go To' place when we want guaranteed amazing food and fabulous service. The staff, although quite young, are wonderful host and hostesses, are knowledgable, relaxed and friendly! The quality of the food is exceptional and the wine is nicely paired. The only problem, is they don't take bookings so there is a risk, during busier times that you might not get fed! However, they do their best and try diligently to accommodate. X
This is a great place to eat and drink. Bookings are not taken but you're not waiting long for a table usually. The food is delicious, the flavours amazing and the Sangria and wines are great. It's vibrant and lively place and we have eaten there countless times. My only one negative is it is too small it's needs larger premises and has only one loo for both male and female but we'll be back many times I'm sure
Unbelievable quality. The food is to die for. My first visit with my fiance and it won't be our last. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Levanter is a must go to restaurant. I can't praise it too highly.
What a great place! Been a few times now and have never been disappointed. If anything the food gets better! Very friendly staff make for a great time!
I have just left this beautiful little place (writing a review before i forget!)
Food was delicious and staff are wonderful - super friendly and welcoming.
Thank you for entertaining and feeding me!
Top tapas top bar top service
Never been disappointed here at lavanta
I would recommend to anyone
Had a delicious laid back lunch here yesterday. The food was amazing and the front of house staff are fab. The asparagus, egg, mint and peas combo was outstanding! 5 stars.
Fantastic food, great service, only negative is not being able to book a table so we had a pretty long wait , but Sangria was good and food worth the wait.
What do you give a lady who has just spend the previous week cooped up in Manchester Royal Infirmary , 1kg of prime steak from an 8 year old Galician Dairy cow of course. Levanter had been on our radar for some time as I pined for something resembling the delights of Donostia, however when they announced in June they would be stocking the aforementioned beef (of which I tried on my previous San Sebastian trip) on a first-come-first-serve basis it shot straight to the top of the must-visit list.
Fiona and Joe were amongst the first people to commission me for photography, in fact we were the very first customers when Levanter first opened last May. (I can't believe it's already over a year ago). As they were taking a much deserved break in San Sebastián, I suggested a few places for them to try, one of which is Bar Nestor in the old town. It's a unique little bar, you have to turn up at a certain time (7.15pm) and put your name down on the list. There are two lists, one for steak and the other tortilla. There is a tomato salad too. That's it! I love the idea of a restaurant just doing a few things brilliantly. In a town of brilliance of course the chuleta steak (which comes out at 8pm), is a world beater. They're said to get through 500 steaks a week! I first read about it via Melody & Nemanja, aka, MrTxuleta who is also supplying Volta with their Basque beef.
My favourite dish was ‘Atun A La Plancha’. A stunning piece of perfectly seared tuna served simply with a punchy salsa verde.
Garroxta – this was my favourite of the cooked dishes. Goat’s cheese and beetroot are always happy bedfellows but, through baking, the cheese’s nutty notes were intensified which made for an especially splendid synergy with the sweet, earthy beetroot purée.
When Spain and Lancashire come together, good things happen!
Lovely food, authentic and we'll portioned. The meat and cheese sharing platter was a particular highlight. Was quiet busy but we were served in good time and well looked after. Make sure to book in advance!
Would I Recommended this place! 100% plus+ ..
Levanter Offers a relaxed, modern tapas dinning experience. You have the option of either seating inside in there small but Intermat setting, or dine alfresco under there quaint canopy / tepee at front.
They have an amazing menu with wide selection of tapas dishes, which you just won't be disappointed with!!. You rely can honneslty taste the quilty of the Ingredients withing each dish, an the presentation you see care that's taken when creating these creations.
Would highly recommend the cured Tuna!! 👌
Deffently be going back for another glass wine an few more dishes of the menu!! 😋
Most importantly the good was good. We had a selection of various tapas and the pork dish. We were told it was served blue but it was beautifully cooked and served on a bed of fried potatoes.
The service was very good. Helpful and attentive. Not the cheapest place to eat but not ridiculously expensive either. Our bill came to £82 but that included beer, coffee, food and cheese cake which was delicious.
Well worth trying.
Lovely, cosy little restaurant. Staff were attentive and friendly. Delicious food.
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Ramsbottom and serve some of the best food I've tastes. The team and service are amazing. I would very highly recommend you give it a go. Phenomenal 👍👍
Visited on a Saturday afternoon for late lunch, we decided to order the Txuleton and boy are we glad we did! Started off with a plate of Jamon Iberico which was beautiful, melted in your mouth with that gorgeous nutty taste. While we waited for our steak to be prepared, which they advised would be up to an hour as its brought to room temp and then barbecued we enjoyed a dish of the chorizo in honey and a glass of Albarino. We had no issue at all with the wait for the Txuleton and when it arrived it was truly a site to behold. Literally the best steak I have ever had bar none, it was phenomenal! The smoky flavor was outstanding as were the accompanying padron peppers and fresh tomato salad. Will definitely be visiting again for another Txuleton.
Has to be one of the best places for relaxed but amazing food in the North. I only have a photo of our empty plates to share - but the food was delicious! We ordered 9 dishes between two people and it was perfect - had two bottles of lovely red wine for a very reasonable price as well. Service is super friendly, we sat at the bar - recommended 👍
Lovely little place on Square Street, Ramsbottom. Food was excellent and the best tapas ever consumed (including in Spain). Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was very good.
Great little tapas restaurant, really authentic and some different dishes. Lambs liver was delicious, just like you get in rural Spain. The big Argentinean prawns were delicious, the burnt(deliberately) garlic added a different taste to a quality dish. Will definitely go back and will try their other place around corner to.
Had lunch here as a party of five including my 3 yr old daughter. Food was nicely presented and tasty/traditional tapas, great selection of beer and wines too. Staff were attentive and very understanding when my daughter dropped her plate and drink!
