We went here for our tea because there was an hours wait at our usual place.
The pub itself was pleasant, not too busy and the staff were very friendly.
The starters was served to us quite quickly, and giving enough time between courses. The meals tasted really nice, my son and I had the sweet chilli noodles with chargrilled chicken, my partner had the steak and my daughter chicken nuggets, followed by chocolate brownie. We ordered from the set menu so the meals were good value for money.
Really enjoyed it waited a while for the meal but we were advised 40mins but it wernt that long.it was quite full always a good sign no complaints from the 4 of us would definately recommend. We will be going again Decent mixed grill.
Went yesterday morning for breakfast with my mum, sister and little nephews, 1st time I'd been and will definitely be going more often, pub is lovely, staff very helpful and the food was amazing xxx
Had lunch today everything was excellent friendliness of staff, food cant fault it. We were served by Vicky a lovely young lady.
Our first time here .. Lovely cozy place .We had dinner and breakfast. Good food with reasonable price.
Held our sons baptism celebration here, the buffet was fantastic, fresh and excellent variety. Family/friends impressed with buffet and venue.
Ideal venue for gatherings, staff friendly and approachable.
Nice pub, welcoming & friendly, decent food that's reasonably priced, but most importantly good and friendly service.
I had a lovely meal with my husband last night for my birthday nice and relaxed, food was delicious, staff very friendly and polite, would definitely recommend the ship inn very very nice x
Love coming here with my Dad. Fab friendly staff, food is tasty and a lovely atmosphere. Plus it's Dog friendly , which is a bonus.
Just been round the Ship Inn for Sunday lunch.
Fair play to Tracy and her team. Great service, decent food and beer too.
3 course Sunday roast for £14.99 each is a bargain, and the portions were generous too.
Was chocker when we left at 4.15 so suggest you book in to save a wait.
The cheesy garlic bread is amazing !
The landlady and her staff are, friendly, helpful and welcoming. It is clear there is a great management culture at work, all staff serve, take orders, clear tables and make sure service is as friendly and efficient as possible.
As we were staying at the hotel, we ate several meals at the Ship and the food was great. Only the curry could have been improved on. We found hardly any meat, and a quite thin sauce. Having said that, the taste was great, so just a small tweak for perfection.
The pub is clean well laid out and we loved the beer garden too.
We will definitely be back.

We had an family evening meal followed by a small gathering for a family funeral the next day. All the food was delicious and the staff were helpful. The pub was fairly quiet, but it was clear that everybody in the pub was enjoying their visit. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that they were a little hard to get hold of but once we got that sorted out, the service was excellent. Thank you.
Sorry, just noticed this has come from OGS. It isn't it is a personal review.
We were in a party of 15 for my dads 80th birthday. The service was efficient and served with a smile. All food arrived together and was hot. Staff even came out with a cake for us and joined in singing happy birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and staff should be praised for their excellent service.
The table we were shown to was clean and well presented. The barmaid that I ordered from was really pleasant and welcoming. The waiter that delivered the food was efficient and pleasant.
The food provided was well cooked and hot.
There was a very poor choice of scotch whiskey available just Bell’s yuk!! (my tipple is Famous Grouse) I resorted to navy rum.. made a change.. but one was enough.
There wasn’t an obvious place to go to to say that we had arrived for our advanced booking so as it was our first visit it was a little awkward. Table ordering would have been nice. Overall very enjoyable and I’m sure we will return.
Was greeted by friendly member of staff, told we had a reservation and got taken to the table and was asked if we didn't want to sit there we could move (we didn't) looked through the menu and settled with the 3 course set menu. Wasn't disappointed just stuffed at the end. But was washed down with a few pints of Stella.
I have been a couple of times for breakfast with a old para mate food is good. I have personally found the service is good as well . staffy friendly toilet r clean .
This is a great place to eat 👌 the food is very good and the service as well. And it has a dog area inside as well. And the price is good as well. Three of us went we all had a tree course meal and drinks.
I've been into the Ship on several occasions both for business meetings and personal visits with family and have always been well looked after and enjoyed my visit. Vicky and/or Tracy are normally working when I've been in and the service has always been fantastic!
You're made to feel so welcome and at home as soon as you walk through the door. If its busy or there is any delay likely they'll tell you right away rather than taking your money and making you wait forever for food like a lot of places! Usually very quick service and food has always been great in my experience. They have a great loyalty card system through Ember which is worth joining to get the most out of each visit.
Always a nice atmosphere and I have and will continue to recommend to anyone who is looking for lunch or even just a quick drink.
Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby!
Come here often for food and drink. Always a warm welcome from Tracy and the team always make time for us even when there busy. The food is always lovely especially the Sunday roasts love the duo roast! . Always recommend here to family and friends
