Been here this evening for my birthday meal. Lovely place, fabulous food and really attentive staff - I would highly recommend. We will certainly be back/ thanks guys!
Had a lovely girls night out here,the place is quaint, staff were all very pleasant and attentive from the start of the evening till the end,which was quite late,sorry!
I had venison which was lovely and the cocktails were a little bit expensive but fabulous,I'd highly recommend here and would definitely return and I'm from Wigan so not local to me.
Thank you so much for the service you provided for our daughters 18 th. Managed to serve so many of us without fuss and the food was beautiful as always. Also thanks for the extra of providing table decoration. Lovely place I would recommend to all.
What an adorable local restaurant/gallery. The best steak I’ve EVER had.The staff were so helpful (especially when catering for a special diet) and service was amazing.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The service was great! The staff were very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely, calm and comfortable. The food was perfect, we couldn't believe how good the food was and for such great value. We've paid a lot more for food not at this standard. We had three courses - delivered in good time (not too quick and not waiting too long). The starters - torched sea bream, confit chicken leg, salmon terrine and roasted cauliflower salad were all delicious and left us all looking forward to the mains. The mains - pork fillet, lamb rump, duck breast and crusted cod were amazing with lovely accompainments, just the right size and so yummy. The only thing we felt could have been improved was the selection and dressing of the desserts. Each tasted lovely but felt like not the same level of care as in the starters and mains. Caramel apple pie had soft pastry (not crispy from oven reheating), the pouring cream we would have prefered in a jug to pour ourselves and could do with some finishing touches (i.e. raspberries or mint leaves on the lemon roulade, toppings/brandy snap would have been nice on the sundae). However, these were minor improvements to push it to the same standard we'd come to expect from the starters and mains. The whole experience was fantastic and we can't wait to go back! Big five stars and more!
Our first time at this restaurant and certainly won't be our last. Went for an anniversary meal and wasn't disappointed. The food was as good as any restaurant we've ever ate at, including Michelin & Rosette. Service from Emily was excellent and she took the time to chat and give advice about the local area. Look forward to returning :)
I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal so much. I ate three courses of which the starter and main were huge portions but I couldn't stop as they were all so delicious and ate the lot. My dessert was basically ice cream with a rich toffee sauce and digestive biscuits crumblings over it, just enough to finish my meal off and all washed down with 2 glasses of house Merlot.
Fantastic food. Pleasant staff. Mid range prices but worth every penny.
Absolutely phenomenal, we've been coming her for years. The consistency never changes, the food is so tasty 🤤
Lovely atmosphere. Tasty starters, both Ox cheek and Lamb tender and the beer battered onion rings are the best I have EVER had!!! Deffo recommend you try these! All food well seasoned. The prices very reasonable. The only downside was when listening to the specials at another table, it became apparent our first waitress had missed out one of them. If I am in Rainhill again I would like to come back and try something different.
Drove past this place for years and ended up booking with a group. Lovely staff, great atmosphere and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I had the soup which you could tell was homemade and then steak which was like butter and didn't last long. Would recommend and also go back. Little gem.
I thought the starter menu could do with improving. Portion a little small . But would go again the previous time I was there everything was great 👍
We went here Saturday night for a family meal for my sons 19th birthday. Food was lovely, staff pleasant and friendly, cosy surroundings and the artwork on the walls by local artists was fab. Really nice evening will definitely be going back.
My wife and I have just enjoyed a very nice meal. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff and good service. Meals prepared exactly to order, especially my rare steak. Good value food and drink. Thank you to all concerned
