A really friendly place, staff were really nice and extremely helpful. Food was delicious with large portions. A great place to eat if you've never tried Turkish or Greek food before.

Very good impromptu visit. We recently had dinner here on a Saturday evening. We do not like their 2 sittings option at 6pm and 8pm but on this occasion it suited us to eat early. We decided at the last minute and were lucky enough to get a table on the ground floor. We ordered the Chicken Shish Kofte and Salmon Shish Kebab for our mains and Baklava for dessert. All of the dishes were very good and served piping hot, although we thought £9.00 for a 250ml glass of average tasting wine was a little on the steep side. The service was friendly and efficient throughout.

Really good traditional Turkish food cooked and served by a friendly welcoming team. Lunch menu offered good sized portions that are so tasty you will eat way more than anyone should and 100% will need a small sleep on the sofa afterwards.

Came here for a birthday celebration. Looks like there was a few birthdays that evening. Ambience very nice. Food great. The layout of the tables upstairs could do with another rethink as the servers had to lean over across another couple table to hand over plates of our food. Apart from that we love it here. Great to have a lovely place to go in Rainham.

If you're after Mediterranean cuisine, than you must pass by, chicken shish is definitely a good choice, good portion size, the location is clean and cosy and the staff super friendly, might require a booking. Enjoy 👋

A very nice and quaint Turkish restaurant. The food was fantastic and tasted amazing! Service was very good, but because of its small size, it was quite loud in there when everyone was talking and the beer was flowing. Highly recommended restaurant 👍

Went here for my birthday yesterday with some friends and had a lovely time, we had 3 courses and all were good. I had the creamy chicken mushroom for main and it was delicious, good portions sizes and reasonably priced. My friend had the lamb shank it was huge! They even packed up the leftovers for us to take home. Cocktails were great and the staff are lovely. Great service. Would definitely return.

OUTSTANDING Quick overview Very friendly service Great food Decent portion size Very reasonably priced Went here for lunch, I would recommend booking as it was nearly full when we were there. The lunch time menu is 2 courses £11.95 or 3 courses £13.95 (£2 for dessert, yes please) For starter we shared Turkish Sausage & spinach and Cheese Borek. The starter comes with a side of warm warm Turkish Bread with two dips (not sure what they were but they tasted like a mint yoghurt and spicy salsa) Both starters were delicious. The Turkish Sausage was not too spicy, but full of flavour and the Borek was very light and tasty for sharing two starters, these worked well together For mains we had Salmon Shish Kebab and Shish Kofte Both served with side salad and rice. The salmon was beautifully cooked, not a lot of seasoning on it, which was good because you could still taste the salmon. The Shish Kofte was possibly one of best I have tasted! Similarly to the Salmon, it had seasoning, but not to much so you could taste the Lamb. Rice was plain but as there was a lot of flavour elsewhere on the plate that was not a bad thing. The salad had lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, mix peppers and a Vinaigrette dressing, the salad tasted very fresh. Due to decent portion sizes we unfortunately did not have room for dessert. A very good visit, and we will definitely be returning.

Another brilliant meal at Galata. Very friendly staff and lovely food. Definitely the kind of place you can just relax in and enjoy your time there. We had the Turkish sausage and the Borek to start followed by the chicken shish kofte (loved it) and the centik kebab (which my partner loved), followed by some baklava....delicious.
