Stopped off for a delicious breakfast. Superb value for money. Friendly service. Clean and spacious. There are plenty of available car park spaces. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.
Good food, very noisy young uncontrolled children. Great historical setting. Great fourth visit, a helpful waitress. The food was well-cooked and enjoyable. Great setting. More level floor on the first floor than the top floor.
Had the unlimited breakfast today. Hot food was cooked fresh to order. Lots of different food and drink items to choose from which is included plus kids eat free. Will definitely be going back for another breakfast in the future.
Make sure you put your reg in the machine before heading up stairs to the restaurant, staff do ask before seating you. We went at 9 there was still plenty of food left, cereal was just starting to run low.
This restaurant was an unexpected surprise! We decided to eat out last minute and our usual favourite was fully booked, so a quick search and we found this place. The restaurant has a working water mill inside, which gives it an extra quirkiness about it. We were seated upstairs and were given amazing service from start to end. The server was friendly and attentive, full of smiles - she really did make our experience that much better. The food was great - we had a burger and steak, which can come with a good selection of sides. The dessert, an apple crumble with custard was delicious and a nice size. We will definitely be going back and bringing some friends along with us next time!
Lovely place nice and quiet Lovely meal staff were so polite and would make sure everything was OK going back very soon. As you can see with my pictures the mill workings is incorporated in to the bar and some of the dining room brilliant.
We visited for a lunch on a Sunday. I forgot to take photos but my partner ordered the steak and chips with a side of macaroni cheese and pulled pork, and I got the mixed grill platter.
Both main meals were delicious and very filling.
We ordered a total of x2 cocktails gin, x2 beers, x1 coffee.
The image shows the lemon tart and the chocolate brownie with ice cream - perfect for a sweet tooth!
Total came up to just over £80.
Lots of 'history' and historic stuff in this former 18th century Mill - which improves the ambience - even if the restaurant's environs, including the nearby M25, might not be the most salubrious. That said, the staff were friendly, the food was nicely edible (in particular, the steaks were nice) and the prices weren't exorbitant.
This is such a hidden gem. Housed in a centuries old mill on the River Ver. Beefeater offers great value, and Moor Mill is no exception. Families are well catered for with a play area along with cute duck island, but couples are equally welcome, there are enough private nooks for dining in the unusually laid out main restaurant. One note of caution- be careful to park in the correct car park and enter your registration at reception or risk a fine.
Went on a Tuesday lunch time. Nice and quiet just how we like it, sat outside the back on the decking area. Food was good quality and good price.
Will be returning soon

Love love this place eating here was almost like visiting a museum! The water mill wheel is still in function. Good staff and food. I would highly recommend this Beefeater location. There are many seating areas within the building in addition to ample seating outdoor. Nice river with ducks and swans close by. I will definitely be back!
Fascinating building with lots of the old machinery still on display. Lovely garden area to dine in on good days. Staff were very nice & helpful, and the food is always very good.
Came here for breakfast as part of our holiday with our 2 small children and loved it. What made it for us was the lady serving us. Really friendly. The place seems to have lots of original beams and walls adding to the feel.
We visited while staying at premier inn next door. Food was very good and came reasonably quickly. Service was a little slow especially drinks however they did seen to be a little short of staff on our visit. Overall, very good and would come again.
Bottomless breakfast OK as a vegetarian choice. Reasonably priced at £10. Old building is characterful. Stopped here during a long walk in beautiful countryside by the River Colne.
