Had a family get together 8 of us they gave good service, from walking in to walking out. The menu has a wide variety of food, the meals was very good sized portions the kids portions are a good size for kids. I would recommend the Lamb Henry it was gorgeous and all very reasonably priced. Well done everybody you deserved our custom, and will visit again.
Fantastic friendly pub, with great food! Moved to Stoneclough 4 years ago, and sadly the Horseshoe has been through a fair few owners in that time ! Finally it seems to have settled down and has owners who actually care about the pub ! Been in with my family and friends for food , and they all agree its fantastic ! Long may it continue.
Had a lovely meal with my family food was amazing. Children's menu looked really nice my little girl had chicken goujon chips and peas and my other daughter had sausage mash and beans really good portions. My other half said he could eat lamb Henry all over again it was that good. I had hunters chicken soo tasty. We had a lovely warm welcome so happy it's gone back to its normal self and I wish the landlords all the best x definitely be back soon

Gorgeous food, fantastic atmosphere, friendly polite staff.... accommodated us along with our 3 children no problem service was quick on both bar & food and the portion sizes were brilliant on both adult & kids meals � we will definitely be back very soon xx
Had a lovely lunch here last week with the family for a joint birthday celebration. The food was delicious!! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent!! I will definately be returning. Thankyou so much for such a lovely time x
It’s been a while since we have been in as a family, but today was one to remember. New management are very accommodating as I wanted a Sunday dinner but don’t eat beef or pork so they provided me with a chicken breast. Great to see the atmosphere warm and inviting with so many faces that have been there a while. Great turnout for the charity day also. I’m sure Eileen & Andy will continue to grow and build the pub back to its old ways we all love and know.
A favourite pub of ours with excellent food. Would definitely recommend it.
Went to the Horseshoe on Sunday 13 of August to celebrate my birthday there were eight of us and we really enjoyed it good food good atmosphere quick service could not fault it would go again thank you for the horseshoe Mrs Jean Bradshaw

Called in for tea tonight, the food was gorgeous. Definitely recommend the Lamb Henry.
Lovely homely atmosphere, log fires burning and hearty food. I had the Lamb Henry and it tasted just like my Nana used to make, it was lovely. The kids had veggie specials and the other half had steak & ale pie, and enjoyed their choices. I had my pudding all lined up, the sticky toffee pudding had my name all over it (and the syrup sponge and the... ) but I was too full. Looks like I'm going to have to go back!

This place is so deceiving from the front, it's huge out back lot's of outdoor seating for lovely summers day.

The young lady who brought our food and drinks to our table was lovely 😊
My partner in food crime loved his steak its was cooked perfectly and how he asked for.

We have been a couple of times and never been let down. We aren't the only ones either. The pub was pleasantly busy. Not over run, but plenty of others enjoying a meal in relaxed surroundings. A good pub worthy of support.
Lovely pub with nice walks around. Great home made food and not overpriced. Dogs allowed in the pet friendly pub area. A bit small area and tables in this section but enough to enjoy a really nice meal. Staff very friendly and attentive.
Just had a beer this time in a very nice garden we will be trying the food out soon

We accational go to Horseshoe on a Sunday for a meal Fish Mash Mushy Peas and my partner Cheese and onion pie and enjoy it every time it's always great service and great customer service it's always a friendly place Dogs allowed outside I don't really like Dogs inside the Resterant especially when you are eating food but that's my choice it's always nice and warm especially in the winter staff always friendly and happy to help you especially when ordering drinks and food.yes we did stop going to the Horseshoe for a time because we had a issue with a member of staff regarding food for my partner son who is Autistic and has special needs and like a lot of Children and sometimes adults are fussy eaters he wouldn't have anything of the menu so I asked if they would make him some Tomato soup and a Cheese sandwich I we can't do that I couldn't believe it we had been going there for years so I thought fair enough stuff your food we can always go somewhere else if that's the customer service you give out so we did but ever since the Horseshoe changed hands we have never had any problems always enjoy going there on a Sunday and bringing the gran kids thank god they always know what they want before we get there Sunday Roast and stick Toffee Pudding 😁

Went today with our friends 20/9/2023 what a lovely place the meal was so lovely enjoyed it staff was so friendly had a good time there.
Had a nice Xmas eve lunch with Dad, he enjoyed a dance as well at the end, nice beers and food.

Nice pub, good service and friendly to cyclists as it is in the middle of several cross country routes, very nice historic church next door too.
Iv not been to The Horseshoe for years but I must say it has improved a lot the food was lovely, there was 15 of us, all our food came out at the same time and no one had a complaint. Great service, staff were lovely.
First visit with a group of friends. Lovely meal with friendly service. Many thanks. See you all next month!
