Tried this place again as first time when it opened I was a little disappointed with the miso soup and gunkan which I found to be too salty and flavourless.
This did not disappoint this time, the bubble tea was refreshing (ordered with less ice and less sugar), the food was delicious and decent portion sizes. Could pick up wasabi, pickled ginger and soy sauce for free as additions. Very friendly customer service, patient and helpful with all my questions and changing my mind.
I plan to return here again, lovely place!
Yokattara specializes in sushi but I felt like dessert that day so had the matcha tiramisu which was creamy and grassy.
Will return for gyozas next time.
We chose to have my son’s birthday - a sushi masterclass at Yokattara sushi. It was very well organised. The food was excellent, the staff were amazing and helpful and the class itself was super fun. It kept seven 12 yr olds busy for two hours. I would definitely recommend the class as my son and his friends were thrilled. They were equally thrilled with all the sushi they got to take home! Thank you so much!
Venue: Yokattara Sushi
Date of Visit: 03/07/2022
I accidentally overlooked reviewing Yokattara Sushi shortly after visiting with a relative but as they say, better late than never.
Food and customer service was very pleasant. At the time, they mentioned about having a halal chicken option at a later stage (probably do by now).
However, as it is sushi, it is on the expensive side (that's a given).
Definitely worth checking out if you like sushi and the likes.
5 Stars
Firm local favourite. Bubble tea is decent bit the sushi steals the show. I'll admit the price is worth it for what it is!!
I just wish they had halal options for the hot food though!!
Fast food can be good food. Freshly made chicken Katsu curry that was hot and tasty. Miso soup was generous in size and packed with flavour. Chicken was halal too, which was fantastic.
I bought the Sake Mix box (variety of salmon sushi), miso soup, gyozas as delivery. The sushi was lovely, the proportion of salmon to rice was very good, and the miso soup was delicious.
One thing I would say is that the gyozas weren't the best I ever had since it was a strange combination of soft and crunchy.
Also they don't put wasabi with the sushi boxes, so you have to pay an extra 20p for sachets. Tho they did give 2 instead of 1 with our order.
our new favourite takeaway. Some really interesting and different things on the menu. the quality of the food is excellent. looking forward to trying again. great vegetarian and vegan options too.
Just ate in and we throughly enjoyed it. Service was brilliant and it is very clean!
Now the main event - I must say this is the best sushi I’ve had locally. Ingredients seemed fresh, and it all tasted amazing, we way over ordered and still managed to finish everything off. Desserts are home made.
We ordered -
- prawn Goyza
- Salmon crunch roll
- prawn volcano roll
- prawn dragon
- prawn maki
- lychee bubble tea with strawberry
- passion fruit bubble tea with strawberry
- oreo matcha cheesecake
My favourite was the volcano roll and my mums favourite was the salmon crunch roll.
The team are very open to customer feedback so it is evident a lot of thought is being put into customer experience and providing the best food possible. We were sat there for a while and it were very impressed by how organised the team seem to be and how everything seems to be prepped to order, with a lot of attention to quality control whilst packing.
We shall defo be back and I highly recommend to everyone. also love the bubble tea loyalty scheme, what a incentive to treat myself!!!
Took my 9 year old son as he loves sushi , he rated it 5* and said that he would pay £150 for it 😂😂 I had Katsu curry and it was amazing . Will be back .
Friendly staff
