Very lovely pub with delicious food and ambience. Love the large parking space and pub staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Cannot rate these guys enough have Eaten and drunk there regularly since new ownership the food is amazing and the boys are Fantastic celebrated my 30th there this weekend and they were truly great a serious must for any pub lover with top class food but In a beautiful relaxed atmosphere - well done guys and thank you x
A beautiful pub in a great location by Stopham Bridge. Very friendly welcome, great service and they were more than helpful to my son who is in a wheelchair. The food was delicious, especially the ice creams. Local beer was good and an added bonus was that they have Harveys on tap, kept properly too. Will definitely go back.
Happened upon this lovely pub today whilst going across country in the South Downs.
Mine genial host Martin recommended a lovely guest ale from the Langham Brewery to wash down the excellent food fare from an extensive but well priced menu. Food really was top notch, setting absolutely beautiful and a pub full of friendly staff and clientele.
Sadly only a flying visit but will definitely make time to return to enjoy the full range of ales and excellent cuisine once more.
A beautiful pub in stunning surroundings. I visited The White Hart on Saturday lunchtime as part of a Hen Weekend. As it was a special occasion, it was important to us that our experience reflected that and we certainly weren’t disappointed. They were able to cater easily for 11 of us with various dietary requirements. We experienced great food and delicious local wine, served by helpful and friendly staff in a charming atmosphere.
Six of us had a late lunch there, sat outside overlooking the river and had a wonderful meal - all six ordered different food and all of us gave it top marks. Service was also excellent - really recommend.
Hugely enjoyable family meal to celebrate our Mum and Dad's 50th Anniversary. Mussels and frites, line caught pollock, sea bass and some fine steaks, followed by a chewy sticky toffee pudding, pear and ginger pudding and custard ice creams. Good wine list, tasty range of local hoppy ales and classics, at a lovely spot overlooking the river. Great value, great fayre, great service and welcome. What's not to like? Recommended.
Both myself and my partner had an absolutely astounding meal tonight, we were made to feel welcome and when it came to ordering the landlord was able to offer us a different option outside the menu which the chef prepared and cooked. The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection, every different part of food which was eaten complimented each other.
The waiting staff were polite and helpful and we would like to wish the chef good luck for next week as well as good luck to the owners in there latest venture at the Queens Head in West Chiltington.

Took my parents here for dinner before they headed back to oz, we had superb customer service and the food was amazing. Will definitely be returning!
I highly recommend a pizza from here!
Such a lovely pub in great surroundings. Don't be put off when you first go in its a really friendly place. The pie of the week steak, Guiness and cheddar with buttery mash was superb and such lovely staff, we will definitely be returning.
Fantastic food it was to die for and well worth the money
Stopped by here for a bite to eat and drink, loved it, nice feel about the place, warm welcome given, great menu and lovely roaring open fire, what's not to like??
Beautiful location, beautiful food, wonderful friendly pub in an idyllic place. Staff are so nice and friendly.. Will be hosting pack walks round this area and it will be a great stop off place!
Had a meal for Father's day. Really nice food & band playing who were good! Friendly atmosphere & nice view of the river.
Stopped off for a quick business lunch, service was very good and the food was exceptional. Highly recommend. The location was also Impressive.
We had a fantastic meal here . Would definitely recommend it and we will be going back xxxxx
WHAT A TASTY BURGER!
Infact ALL the food is awesome and the Ale is divine.
We go each week to go for some paddleboarding along the river. We pre order so when we come back our food arrives quite quickly. Which is adds to the great service.
Location is amazing and though there is a main road adjacent the pub oozes calm and relaxed atmosphere.
If you are using the river access the Owner requests that you Do Not Park in the car park as it is quite small and his customers who are coming and going need that space.
I suggested he charges a £10-20 launch fee for river users. There is space in the road for 30+ cars.
We arrived wondering how we were going to get the wheelchair in but Megan, our soon to be waitron, leapt into action and offered to assist us.
This set the tone for the kind of service we were about to receive.
Not only was she just amazeballs but the food was scrumptious and plenty thereof.
What a fabulous afternoon out.
Thanks to Megan, the chef and The White Hart!
Lovely food and a lovely venue. Good service and tasty food. Well priced and a nice location. Parking can be a little busy, but that shouldn't put you off
Very nice placce to eat, food service excellent. Tables just a tad to close to each other as building is small and old but worth a visit. You can use river for paddle boards have a drink in this senic setting!
Visited The White Hart Pulborough today 29/10/23 for a Sunday Lunch.
Wish I'd found this place years ago. The food is exceptional, the service is outstanding, the staff are supper friendly and accommodating, and I would waste no time recommending here and will do to many people.
We will certainly be returning on a regular basis.
Thanks guys
Delightful place to stay in the pretty little village of Sutton in the Pulborough area. Great if you are attending a wedding at one of the many nearby venues (like we were), or if you want to visit some great local vineyards. Lovely rooms and facilities, very clean and high quality. The restaurant menu has something for everyone. The food was excellent, not a single complaint and pretty similar to Michelin standards. The staff are super welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Billy (the landlord) for being so helpful and making our stay so wonderful. We said we would have to skip breakfast on our first morning as we had an early start for the wedding, so Billy had fresh pastries delivered to our rooms instead - what a thoughtful, kind gesture! We'd be happy to stay again the next time we're in the Pulborough area.
Three of us visited the White Hart on the way back from a (very hot) day in London.
We sat on there outside eating area beside the river to eat.
We all had the River Trout with Med veg which was excellent, I had mackerel to start, which, served with seasonal pickled veg was superb.
We finished off with coffee cream brûlée which was equally delicious.
We will be back. Great evening. Great staff.
Four of us had a delicious lunch here with prompt, friendly and efficient service. We were seated outside overlooking the river, a lovely setting. All our mains and puds were very much enjoyed with well kept beers and nice wines. Highly recommend and we will visit again.
Love this little spot sat right besides the Arun river with magnificent views of the water and bridge, when here today for lunch which was very good , myself and partner both had the fish and chips, it was delicious well portioned and well presented.
For starter we shared a plate of olives and bread and again was amazing
Popped in for lunch today and it was fantastic. It's only my second visit but I love the place already. The put itself is stunning - paired with a lovely outside seating area with a stunning view and great staff, you really can't ask for anything else! Will definitely be coming back for more!!
