Love this pub! The bar staff are warm, welcoming and always helpful! We tried the Early bird menu last week and considering it was only £10 for two courses, it was full of flavour and very yummy! Would recommend the pub to anyone ! X
Arranged to hold my Mums wake here following her service at Westerleigh Crematoruim. When we arranged it we found the staff very helpful, and the Chef, Adam was happy to come and sit with us to discuss everything we wanted which we found promising. We were not let down on the day. Staff were happy to do all they could to accommodate our needs, even providing table cloths that they wouldn't normally use. On the day staff were friendly and attentive. Food was plentiful and of a really good quality. For such a difficult occassion I feel they did us proud and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Love this Pub, always get a great meal here. I'm gradually working my way through the menu! Staff are always friendly too. Would definitely recommend �

Great recommendation from a Bristonian to venture out of the city for an evening meal. Great food choice on the menu and good value, food was full of flavour and the staff were very polite and friendly. Will definitely return on my next Business trip to Bristol

I had the joy of visiting The Rose and Crown for a Sunday roast. The pub was easy to locate and had loads of parking. Upon entering the parking area you may be greet by some alpacas!
The pub had a nice and chill atmosphere and perfect for all ages. The staff members were wonderful and had fast service. The food was fantastic. I had the lamb leg roast and it was packed with veggies, stuffing, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding. All with gravy drizzled over. Best roast I've ever had 😫 I was totally full from the meal!
For the 5 of us and including soft drinks it was under £100. Which is bargain considering how much we get!! I totally recommend visiting and making a reservation in advanced.
Also - With the alpacas they have little bags for feeding for £1 but when we visited they were very uninterested 😂
A few rare visits but this place has never disappointed. Booking advised but not essential this is a nice sized pub with a choice of more relaxed pub lounge like seating or a more formal restaurant setting. Menu is the same in both but nice to have the choice. Menu is a combination of pub classics and some more specific choices. Also a set lunch menu that is great value for 2 or 3 courses and made up of a selection from the main menu. Also, alpacas in the garden (along with plenty of parking) which you can feed by buying a bag of their food for £1.
One of the best pub meals I have ever had. Stayed the night in the motorhome out the back. Thank you very much
Fantastic food! Great staff! Really friendly pub. Food was fast and tasted amazing. Had the lamb Sunday roast and the kids had fish fingers and chips.
The staff were great with the kids and gave us colouring pencils and prints of the pubs alpacas to colour in and stick on the wall.
All in all I would highly recommend!
We had a large family get together for a Sunday lunch and the staff at the Rose and Crown were brilliant at accommodating all of 16 of us at one table. Our food arrived at the same time, was hot, delicious and every order was perfect. The staff were so friendly - even though it was busy, we didn't have to wait for drinks and the table was cleared and then pudding arrived in good time. Everyone enjoyed the various options - the vegetarians were especially happy with their Sunday Roasts!

Beautiful food. We had the mushroom and walnut strudel, which was just perfection – I wish I had chosen that! The chicken with mushroom and tarragon was just so flavoursome. It’s been a long time since I have eaten here and it just gets better and better. We came back a week later with my family, and likewise all the food was superb. The staff are so lovely and the pretty garden with alpacas is a blessing when you have a small child to entertain.
We didn't eat in but had a drink only, so we can't comment on food. The range of beers is good. the service is pretty good too, but I had a sense that the staff were a little stressed. That's probably my misapprehension and bears no reflection on speed of service or attentiveness.
I booked a table here for my family who were down to visit us in Bristol. It's a lovely welcoming family pub. The food was delicious and served quickly. The staff were fantastic with our little ones and provided crayons and colouring for them. We loved being seated next to the warm fireplace! A hidden gem, we will be back to visit in the future!
We had a great meal last night for my sons birthday. It was grill night so we had 2 steaks an 2 crown burgers which were huge an such good value. Crown burgers officially declared best burgers by the burger expert!

Excellent service, fabulous for family events. Always welcoming. Especially the Cosy atmosphere. The Amstel is served perfectly and so is a traditional brandy and lemonade
