I think this is the place where David Cameron came for fish and chips with the Chinese Prime Minister. I might be wrong. Anyway, it was a biker stop off - nice to sit outside and enjoy the country. Worth a visit, it's a bit tucked away. You can walk up the hill to get to the white cross. A good hike
Ordinary pleasant pub catering for locals and passing hikers, who are requested to remove any muddy boots before entering the bar. We didn't sample the food, but the locals were having pub grub as well as liquid lunches. Good selection of lagers and ales. Tables inside and out, with most outside bei
Lovely country pub. Good food and good location for walking. Dog friendly.
Great location for doing a loop around Whiteleaf hill . Lots of outdoor seating . Good selection of ales on tap. Pleasant staff. Big car park.
Lovely lunch and a warm welcome just what we wanted after our walk thank you very much.
Lovely attentive staff, warm and cosy feel inside the pub. I met a friend for lunch and the food was of good quality. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone.
Good selection of beers lovely atmosphere inside & extensive seating areas outside.

Lovely located in the wood, especially after a long day hiking The Ridgeway trail. Service was friendly. Food also nice

Delicious food. Had the steak and ale pie. Very generous portions and good, friendly service
