I think this is the place where David Cameron came for fish and chips with the Chinese Prime Minister. I might be wrong. Anyway, it was a biker stop off - nice to sit outside and enjoy the country. Worth a visit, it's a bit tucked away. You can walk up the hill to get to the white cross. A good hike

Lovely, quaint archetypal English pub in a quiet location, ideal for hiking and admiring the Chilterns. Provided a cosy and warm atmosphere and a great lunch with a good selection of wine and beers. Dog friendly and attentive and friendly staff…….I’d highly recommend.
This is our third time staying here and our last stay was amazing. The warm welcome of the staff when we arrived, the room simple but so clean and a fridge with fresh milk not the UHT version.
