This quaint out of the way pub is well worth a visit. The pub is usually busy with walkers and dogs so maybe worth booking. The menu is extensive and food well presented and delicious. Friendly staff and atmosphere
Spent a lovely evening in the Queen Vic last night (Tuesday). Had a great meal of Home Cooked Faggots. Mash and Peas which was excellent.
The staff and landlord were very warm and welcoming along with the wonderful old world feel of this Mendip Gem......All in all I highly recommend the Queen Victoria to all who would like a meal or to those that want a warm friendly place for a drink.......shame there isn't more stars to add to the rating........and this is coming from a Landlord and Landlady of a pub in Wales .(Y)
This is a lovely rustic pub - loads of character - excellent food - very friendly & helpful staff - dog friendly
We always visit here when we are staying Cheddar in our c'van & have never been disappointed on any of our visits

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. A quintessential country pub that you wouldn’t look twice at if you drove past but is a hidden gem once inside. Worth the extra effort to get there.
So warm & welcoming .... an outstanding country pub in a beautiful place .... fantastic beers food & service ....loved the Christmas transformation into the gingerbread inn & wine bottle Christmas tree. .... awesome 🎄🎄🎄
Lovely place hidden away..
Great food..
Fab staff..
Would definitely go again..
Visited twice whilst camping in the area and loved the pub. Very welcoming staff, great food and great beer! Would visit again when in Somerset.
Great place nice food friendly staff lovely location recommend a visit
We see the Pub on the news & as we were staying in 'Cheddar' for the weekend we thought we would check the place out......
We had food & drinks on a Saturday afternoon here!
The food was very nice & pipping hot!!
But what struck me by the place was how friendly the landlord & his staff were....
Also we got chatting to all the regulars which were exceptionally friendly also....
All in all, a friendly atmosphere all round!!
And the icing on the cake was.......
Our beloved 'Fur-baby' could join us also!
Fantastic old Traditional English pub. Superb staff, great food and wonderful athmosphere in the lovely Village of Priddy x
Visited the pub for the first time this evening and and couldn’t have asked for more. Lovely home cooked food and great service from the very friendly staff. Will definitely be returning soon!
Arrived to an almost full car park. Always a good sign. Gingerbread decorations for Christmas we’re brilliant. Walked in to a busy restaurant and friendly staff. Sunday roast ordered with just the right amount of meat, lovely roast potatoes and fresh steamed veg. Great meal, great venue, will visit again.
A cute village pub offering food, drinks plenty of seating indoors and out. An extra outdoor seating area and bar for busy days or events and a children's play area. Carpark and customer toilets, dog friendly and disabled access.
One of our favourite pubs. Great food and welcoming to musicians. Fabulous atmosphere. Many different areas styles to sit in.
Lovely old pub with lots of character. Plenty of seating outside and even across the road for when it's busy. You can stay there. We sat next to a fireplace with a huge wood burning stove, thankfully not alight on a summers day.
Service was definitely with a smile.
The only downside was one customer who droaned on and on in a loud voice.

We arrived just after 2pm to be told the kitchen was closed, but they did offer to make us some cheesy chips which we were very grateful for! My disabled mother-in-law was more than able to make her way through, and the carpark had plenty of space.
The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the fire was very warming on the cold autumn day!
Plenty of space, lots of tasty drinks on menu - and I guess in a warm day you could sit outside!
Will definitely come back again.
We only had a drink there but I was impressed.
The outside dining and drinking area was to a very good standard.
The inside decor is of a country pub with various tools of old on the wall.
The bar service is good and the choice of local ciders and ales is impressive.
I wish that other gastro pubs were this good.
We came in twice over our caravan weekend at the nearby site: At first glance it looks like the sort of local's pub where visitors won't be welcomed, but don't worry - the welcome was excellent, as was the food and the atmosphere. We had a table right by one of the fires, and even though the pub was packed our food came quickly and was well made.
If we are in the area we will definitely eat here again.
Friendly, characteristic pub, good beer and food in a fabulous location. We had great service from the two lads in charge. Good selection of food on the lunchtime menu, many quite traditional, well presented and tasty.
Beautiful pub, beautiful food! Very friendly. As a lone female travelling around i find it a little intimidating eating out alone sometimes, but this place was absolutely lovely. Very generous food portions and very tasty. Will be back again!
Lovely home-made food and friendly service. The little sheds to eat in were a hit with the kids.
Playground across the road was awesome. Nice selection of local ciders. Not too expensive either.
Well worth trying out
What a great pub. Warm and cozy.
The food was awesome. Great tasting and plenty of it.
Would certainly recommend you visit for a meal.
Always enjoy visiting here …excellent service and friendly staff. Lovely home cooked food and a good range of menu choices. Clean and well presented
Stayed locally and visited The Queen Victoria. Fabulous!! Very much a 'local' with massive characters and a wonderful 'stand in' landlord (Pete). The food was fantastic and the atmosphere even better. Word to the wise; if you want to keep up with the locals when drinking....arrange a taxi or walk home!! Thank you, Priddy.
A proper pub, that's a huge accolade from me.
Three real ales on draft available and they were all tried and enjoyed by my friends and me.
Only scored 4 as we didn't try the food in offer, however it was a popular eating place too. The food I saw being presented to other customers looked very attractive.
Walkers welcomed and a large free car park opposite.
Cracking pub and amazing food, really good value for money. Will definitely be visiting again.
Fantastic olde worlde pub in the tiny Somerset village of Priddy.
We ate inside in the cool of the thick stone walled interior (it was about 28 Deg c outside) but would seriously consider sitting in one of the beach hut booths outside, named after royal palaces.
There is a wonderful menu of traditional pub favourites at very reasonable prices plus a small list of daily specials.
I had the fish pie, which was as good as any I have eaten, and my OH had the chicken and leek pie in cheese crust pastry from the specials board, which he heartily enjoyed.
Combined with a good selection of draught beers and ciders, this is a great pub.
Local pub with good food. Great portions (too much for us). Good atmosphere. An inn like you expect one to be. Children welcome! Good value for money. Rexommend it to visitors!
Great pub in the heart of the countryside. Welcoming and cosy with roaring fires when I visited. Enjoyed the cider and was recommended the lamb shank special by the publican - piping hot and it didn’t disappoint. Seems a popular place so perhaps book in advance. Highly recommended.

Top pub at the top of the Cheddar Gorge! Lovely old stone building, flagstone floor, and several cosy log burners. Decent menu and 2 Real Ales from Butcombe in excellent condition. Landlord and his staff are welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed our lunchtime visit!
Delicious food, quintessential English pub. Great for kids (outside). Beautiful interiors and great outside terrace. Opens 12:00 on Sunday.
