Lovely food, good recommendations and good portions. Just not quite 'homely' enough and quite a noisy, reverberating environment which is why it's 4, not 5, stars.

Great bar staff and damn.... have you tried their Panzanella. It's amazing. So much so that when I spend time in Tuscany each year I can't stand their authentic panzanella in Siena that has soggy bread.

It’s places like Basil + Lily that persuaded me to buy a house in Prestwich. Transport links, supermarkets and crime rates are all well and good, but without a bit of life.. well, what’s the point? Basil + Lily offers great wine and great food served by a friendly, chatty team. Winner.
