Went for a Roast Beef Dinner on the opening weekend. Delicious food, fabulous decor, excellent service and staff. Tapas style dining, won't suit everyone. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for....quality food. The Baked Alaska was fantastic. Will be back. I just hope it works in this format. Keep up the good work.

Wow. Top quality food. Very good Estrella on draught and organic red tasty. Friendly knowledgeable assured service. Family friendly. Good price for the quality. The bread from the nibbles section is unmissable especially the garlic and cheese loaf and the treacle mini loaf. Think the sourdough needs a bit of presentation work but this is a minor quibble.. Lucky enough to go on a Monday as it was bank holiday Easter Monday and I know they are usually closed on this day. This is the best meal we have had since 263 in Preston and although locals may know it well I think it's a real hidden gem. Make the journey it's worth it. Would like to know more about the chef. Has excellent potential as you can see in the photos and this is restaurant food not gastro pub. Enjoy.

Excellent food; excellent service and a great location. Really recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere for a treat or special meal as it is above average prices, but well worth it. We've been a number of times and would definitely still go back. Good selection of beers too. Staff were great and very accommodating it our little boy. Try the Pickled Goose out!

Food was fantastic not quite cooked the way I preferred so mentioned it and they went above and beyond. The manager was fantastic and literally made it the best dining experience we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend especially there Sunday lunches. Thank you

Great tasty food, in a very cozy environment. Recommend the chicken and leek soup, with freshly baked bread. The atmosphere was especially cozy with the fireplace on. The service was fast and very good.

Amazing place - serving beautifully presented delicious meals from quality produce... As well as first rate gastro-pub fare... Or it's a lovely place for reasonably priced soup and a sandwich! Friendly efficient service.

We had an absolutely beautiful meal for my birthday at the Pickled Goose this evening. I ordered the 8oz Lamb and my friend ordered the Goosnargh Chicken. Both meals were out of this world. I could not reccomend anywhere else more that the Pickled Goose. Brilliant service with all COVID measures considered, kind and considerate staff, lovely drinks and even better food. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you to the team for such a wonderful meal and experience, it really made my birthday!

Nice place, feels like a pub that makes an effort on food. Had a fairly good set of vegan options (three starters, three mains and three desserts) and the non vegan stuff looked good too. I’m pretty sure the sausages I had were Linda McCartney but the spuds, greens and especially gravy were tasty. Picture of the dessert attached. Raspberry sorbet as I recall and tasted great. Service couldn’t be faulted.

Food is good but takes a long time to arrive, even if the pub itself is not busy.
