Visiting from Oz where we have a huge coffee culture and I've been struggling to get a decent flat white for 4 weeks and have been having serious withdrawals!! Honestly if you love coffee give this place a whirl. Great coffee and friendly staff a winning combo

Sat in here as I write this. Great coffee, naturally, as it's by J Atkinsons of Lancaster (worth a visit in its own right). Really friendly staff and comfortable seating. Is cafe culture finally coming to Preston with this place, Korova, The Mystery Tea House (admittedly they've been around for years) and the soon to open Ham & Jam! I hope so (Korova and Ham & Jam both serve/will be serving J Atkinsons coffee, more proof if needed that it's the best coffee in the area)

Such a delightful place to spend some time. Coffee is really delicious, not horribly bitter like the Costa type coffee shops. Upstairs there are two themed rooms with very comfortable seating, the New York room is the smaller one and my favourite but the London one is also a lovely space and the décor of both is stunning. There is also an open "business centre" with a high bench for you to put lap tops or tablets on and seating for more casual business meetings. Take a book, take your knitting, take a friend but most importantly take yourself to the Cedarwood. I gurarantee that once you have seen what it has to offer, you will be back for more .

Tucked away down a side street, I found Cedarwood Coffee Co. by accident but really lovely coffee here, the weather was nice so I was able to sit outside. Do give this lovely little independent coffee shop a try when you're in town and avoid the generic coffee shops on the High Street!

I LOVE this place! The staff are SO friendly and they remember you every time. They have lots of options for coffee and milk alternatives too. The coffee is to die for. It's also very nicely decorated inside as well which is a huge bonus if you like taking pictures of your coffee too. It's a great place to chill with your friends or do bible studies etc. I would 10/10 reccomend it.

Had a hot chocolate and a mocha which were both really tasty. The hot chocolate wasn't too sweet like a lot of chain coffee shops. Nice seating and a relaxing atmosphere.

The service was genuine and friendly. The decoration had a modern fresh vibe which is very welcoming. It's tucked away down a nice cobbled street which makes it a hidden gem. The coffee is very tasty and they sell great ice cream! A great coffee shop, definitely better than Starbucks.

Called in for a take out coffee to sit and drink in Winkley square. Lovely clean place. Friendly staff. Coffee was so good went back for another. They even filled 2 water bottles up for me. Can highly recommend if your in the area. Looked nice to sit inside too. Far better to support small business's than the big chains. X

Nice local business, friendly staff and great selection of drinks. Didn't actually have a coffee, but the pulled pork panini was superb! The wife had a ham and cheese tostie and said the same thing! Great place to stop off for a quick lunch & they do takeaway. Support local rather than the big chains!

Enjoyed a coffee and lovely fruit flapjack this morning. It was quite quiet due to the weather however this made it nice and relaxing. The rooms upstairs give you the chance to settle comfortably while you chat or work.

Food & Drink The food and coffee were good and the staff friendly, hence the rating. It was a reasonable menu, which mainly provides an good selection of tasty sandwiches and paninis. The service was really good and we were eating in short time of coming in. Dog Friendly I would like to stress that their 'Dog Friendly' status is very limited, with a '1 dog in the building (downstairs only) at any one time' policy which is a little restrictive, but understandable given the cafe size and layout. They were friendly towards dogs, but this comment is here to help make dog owners aware. Layout There are no tables and chairs downstairs, just stools. For a proper sit down you need to go upstairs (which you are not allowed to do with a dog). Summary Absolutely perfect for a quick stop for aomething nice but if you have dogs or a larger group this may not be the most ideal. But don't let that put you off popping in and saying hello.

Cedarwood is the perfect hideaway from the horrible winter weather! Our white hot chocolates yesterday were delicious (I will definitely be back for more), the seating is so comfortable that you'll never want to move and the service from the staff is always excellent and friendly! A lovely place to rest your feet from a long day of shopping.

The Cedarwood coffee house is a small but refreshing coffee house found across from Pizza Express on Winckley Street. The place is fresh with white walls and graphic prints on the wall of cityscapes and the New York skyline, you definitely get a comfortable but modern vibe as you walk in. The shop is situated over two floors, with the baristas downstairs and the comfortable seating upstairs looking out onto the cobbles, and the cafe is also fully licensed to sell alcohol, with a bar nestled into the upstairs for anyone fancying a beer with their lunch. As well as a great range of coffee available, there is also a nice variety of teas including the traditional English tea, or a more adventurous vanilla tea (which I have to say is amazing if you’re looking for a sweet tea with or without milk). The prices are good, with a large coffee costing around £2.50 or for slightly more you can purchase a meal deal which includes a panini (we had a pulled pork panini and a bacon and brie panini, however vegetarian options are available), a packet of crisps and a large hot drink. The coffee house also serves their own cakes (including gluten free chocolate cake!) and ‘Bond’s of Elswick’ ice cream for those that don’t have the time to drive out to fix their cravings. Overall, I love the vibe of this coffee house, with the low prices for good coffee and a nice selection of teas that you don’t normally find when you’re out for a hot drink. The staff are attentive and I feel this place is an undiscovered diamond for the coffee drinkers of Preston. Hopefully we shall see this place becoming busier and busier as word gets round.

Certainly the best coffee in Preston. They have a great range of drinks for all palates. I usually take the coffee to go because the shop isn't the cosiest but that is personal preference.
