We called in here today while passing for dinner. Lovely place very clean and the staff were very efficient and couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent and decent portion sizes. Will make a point of stopping here again when we are in the area :-)

Great service and great food - excellent steaks!! They let me have one of the Christmas menu desserts ... sticky cinnamon meringue, mulled wine berries and brandy butter ice cream ... fantastic !!! Highly recommend.

On Wednesday 28th, about 60 of us had a buffet and the quality of the food was excellent. Many commented on how fresh it was. Great cuts of meat (ham & beef) on the sandwiches, tasty pasta dishes & the chicken strips went down a treat. Support local, eat & drink local. Nice bottle of Pinot too. Well done Alex & team. Will definitely be back.

Family of 16. We didn't pre book but that wasn't a problem. Manager turned tables around and made room for us all. Food lovely, service great. Been twice this month and both times food lovely. Manager / waiter served us quick, sorted out individual bills so no messing at the end. Would recommend.

Very relaxed atmosphere, staff very polite n more than willing to please. Food very good. Would I return ? Yes, definitely. :) Only thing I would change is that all meals are served with chips. Jacket potatoes or boiled potatoes not available but I did have the option of boiled rice.

Welcomed by friendly staff , restaurant was clean. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Food isn’t bad just a tad plain , it’s typical pub grub. Good for a quick bite Plenty of parking outside Wheelchair accessible

Great pub with an excellent menu, my one and only gripe is that we called in for lunch this week and it was wet, windy and cold outside but no form of heating inside. This, in my opinion is a problem. I’m fully aware that the cost of heating is high at the moment but this would put some people off.

pleasantly welcomed, seated by polite staff, orders for drinks and food taken, delivered promptly, enjoyed the quiet Monday afternoon environment, enjoyed the food, made a pleasant rest stop before driving home after a good day out.

Absolutely lovely meals. It was our first time here, my daughter lives near and suggested it. Wasn't dissapointed with the meals we all enjoyed them. I had the large roast dinner and one of my daughter's did, it was so tasty the beef was lovely. Very colourful plate as there was Savoy cabbage and carrot batons and the cauliflower cheese was lovely. Homemade roast potatoes and two big homemade Yorkshire puddings. My partner loved the salt and pepper chicken and chips. Would definitely go here again, lovely inside and the staff so attentive, couldn't fault it

Great staff, food better quality than a lot of pub chains more homemade rather than out of a packet from a cash and carry or central kitchen. Will return. Second visit for Sunday lunch 5 in the party and all really enjoyed the food and good comments about the staff. Great value and will return. Recommend.

Fantastic place... nothing bad to say about the kingfisher. Worth a visit ...food is fabulous, the place itself is extremely nice and the staff are excellent. *Update* came back a couple of weeks later and I'm still as impressed as I was initially. I love the attention to detail and that's what makes it one step ahead of the competition. We are seated and drinks order taken straight away, which I appreciate. Staff are really friendly but not hovering. They have good knowledge of the menu and orders are taken at your table ...it's somewhere we will most definitely make a regular haunt

Lovely staff, great food and pleasant atmosphere. We had a pet dog with us and she was also very nicely looked after. There were quite a few families there who were all having a great time.

As pubs go, it's above average. Good menu although the service was lackluster at best. The overall environment felt crowded and not ideal for a romantic meal out. Excellent for families with kids.
