Only small but tables upstairs also and well worth a visit for the good food! Had a lovely relaxing light lunch here. The chicken and liver pate was served with enough toast and crisp breads for the good amount of pate which was served with a fresh crisp side salad. The good choice of home baked cakes was a temptation we could not resist and the hot drinks were still hot at the end of the meal. We will certainly be returning here

My daughter and I visited today and were treated to the most amazing sharing platter. Nothing was too much trouble, even to the point of waiting to see if my daughter would call back in to collect my grandson’s toy, which was left behind. I was so full that I took my scone with jam & cream home. Absolutely yummy! Highly recommended, thank you to all xx

Just had a lovely flat white, a ham salad ciabatta and a local pork pie from down the road in Ormskirk. Can't fault anything – chatty staff, great quality and great value. The village has been crying out for a place like Thyme, wish I owned the place myself. Will definitely be back. Hope the place does really well. Hurrah!

Called in today for lunch. Top service even though they were very busy. Staff lovely and friendly and they were happy to make something that wasn't on the menu. Food was gorgeous and very reasonable. We are not from the area, but will call in again if we are ever passing!

We found this little gem while following the heritage trail through Croston, we asked for salad as either of us don't eat bread without hesitation or irritation they made us up both a salad of our choice which was delicious and not ovally expensive 9/10

Regular local customer for tea and amazing freshly made chicken salad rolls. So looking forward to the upstairs area opening soon. Pleasure to have the "Thyme" to wait and chat while being served in a friendly tea room. Harry.x

It is a super cute small café, there isn't a lot of seating and it's not equipped for large groups. If you are looking for a nice little village lunch this is perfect. They have lots of yummy looking bakery items too, and the staff are all super kind!

🏍Biker🏍 Very welcoming and family feel atmosphere. More seating upstairs, people of a tall nature may end up with a crooked neck when using the toilet as it is quite.. erm... small 🤣 PLUS SIDE there is baby changing facilities.Upstairs is suitable for kids too as there are toys to keep them entertained. Would definitely recommend the Club Sandwich & Speciality Hot Chocolate (white kinder) was delicious and very much needed to warm up 🌡after a long ride 🥶

Walk in on a damp Tuesday. Warm welcome from Matt and Lisa. Homely ambience and a compact but appealing menu. We had Ham/Cheese toastie and Brie/cranberry roll accompanied by an American and a fully freighted Hot Chocolate. Highly recommended. Thanks from Marc and Joanne.

Local, friendly and reasonably priced. If you are easily tempted by great chat, coffee and cake, I would avoid, if you want this experience then get on down there! Excellent everytime lovely staff and owner.
