Fantastic food and service very good. We came in for family lunch day. The meat was turkey and beef on the roast dinner and was superb, real melt in your mouth standard. Home made stuffing with Yorkshire puddings the size of tractor tyres. My rump steak was perfectly done probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The garlic bread we had for our starters was excellent. The whole family loved it here and would highly highly recommend. They have a good size children’s play area behind the large car park which would be great for families with younger kids. One recommendation which is in no way a criticism but maybe management look at replacing the hand dryers in the gents as they weren’t particular powerful but they are ok but that’s just constructive. Thanks for an excellent lunch!

Visiting the area for the weekend and called into The Plough with our dog. We were greeted by Lillia who was very welcoming and very friendly. We ordered our drinks and then Courtney came to our table to take our order. This 17 year old was very confident and clearly suited for her role in Customer facing. She couldn't have been more helpful and based on her approach and information we purchased a doggy dinner for our Springer Spaniel and a Doggy Beer :) Everybody loved the dog and made us feel so welcomed, even who believed was the landlady was so down to earth and welcoming. Definitely a wonderful place to visit.

We love this place - today was our third trip since we moved to the area 2 months ago. Today we especially enjoyed the service by Courtney. She made us and our kids feel really welcome and relaxed. Thank you. The good is always tasty and our kids love the playground in the beer garden.

Called in after the Lancashire Country Show & sat outside with our dog as it was sunny. The best roast I have had without doubt. Exceptional food & service

We went in late afternoon for a snack. We all had hot sandwiches of one form or other and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Not sure about the atmosphere but it was a bit quiet and, to be honest, it was a family outing so we weren't really bothered.

Seems to be a restricted menu if you eat outside. Food is good and nicely served. Staff are very friendly and polite. Haven't been here for over 40 years but I won't be leaving it that long this time.

Nice place with pleasant atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is great. 5 sharing dishes are generous size so too much for two of us. Highly recommend a visit here.

We called in to avoid waiting in a huge traffic jam and although it was busy we got a table and were served quickly. Service was pleasant if not a little disorganised and the food was tasty and not bad value. Definitely worth calling if you are passing.

I can highly recommend the steak and ale pie at the Plough ! One of the best I've ever had , Also the service was excellent. We were a party of seven , one Vegan and a Gluten intolerant all had a good choice of meals.

Good menu and nice interior in this pub. Prices are on the higher side (e.g. £12 for Sunday Roast, £12 Scampi) but the food is always really good. I've never had a bad meal here. Plenty of good beers on tap, the staff are helpful and friendly too. If you e got a large party expect a bit of a wait. We had a party of ten and food took about 45mins to arrive, but it all came at once, it was fresh and very tasty.

We were victims of the notorious M6 milk tanker incident on Sunday 2nd July. We were travelling back from an event in an old classic car, and had to divert through the trough of Bowland, and ended up exhausted and virtually out of petrol. The petrol stations in Longridge had closed for the day and there was still queueing traffic on the A roads. Yikes! We sought sanctuary at the Plough, and were made to feel very welcome. We had the best Sunday dinner while we waited for a kind family member to bring a can of petrol. Special thanks to Chantelle who had extended her shift to help support all the extra demand, and looked after us brilliantly. Thanks to the management for the excellent customer service ethic and the great food. We will definitely be dining with you again.

We went in on a Friday evening as we were passing, busy bar with plenty of locals, lively atmosphere, we were only going to have a drink but seeing the food being served decided to join in. Good food for me and my wife and at a reasonable price, friendly service, quality IPA on draught and my wife enjoyed her wine too, so great evening, just wished she was driving so I could have had another pint! Maybe next time eh?

Well, what to say? We visited for the first time in several years because the local Facebook group had many positive comments. Service is warm & friendly with a lovely atmosphere. Food, which is really what we went for, was very average. Decent portion sizes, well cooked but really nothing outstanding and disappointed when told my favourite pudding was not available. Great choice of real ales though. Should floor paint the car park too as selfish drivers had blocked the exit but hey, s**t happens.
