Went for Christmas Day lunch with 4 family members. On arrival our pre booking order had been lost. As a result our food was served later than expected. In total the meal was for 5 courses, champagne sorbet, starter, main, dessert and coffee. All were very good. Food especially was to a very good standard. Table settings were every 2 hours. This ran over due to the number of tables booked on the day and the number of people being catered for. Some of the staff had been drafted in for the day from elsewhere. Bar staff in particular weren't experienced but did try their best. The atmosphere felt somewhat tense due to the level of chaos, although the head waiter did work hard to keep order and was very friendly. We had to request our dessert and coffee, which was not served and had gone unnoticed. Would have been nice for Christmas music in the background as it lacked festive atmosphere. That said, we will be booking for next year as the food was so impressive and the main reason for going to this restaurant! ...and for the price (£28.95) it was very reasonable.

A MUST VISIT! I’ve never been to a place like this before where the Manager takes such care to not only introduce himself & tell you about the menu, but also teach you about his culture AND even personalise the dishes to suit each person’s taste if they’re not sure or fancy an exciting surprise! Each of us were made to feel special & important, thoroughly enjoyed it & will return. Inexpensive, All staff were smart, efficient, friendly & knowledgeable, best fish curry I’ve ever had. No wonder they won an award.

Nice place and seemed popular, but not too busy inside - a lot of business seemed to be takeaway. The food was really good, but the service was very slow. We got there early as had somewhere else to be later but we were late.

Just moved to the area and we decided to try our local option for takeaway and it was incredibly good. Both curries were fantastic and so were the nans and all the extras we got. Think this will be our new regular takeaway.

We were first sat out in the conservatory but then asked to move because it was very warm in there and quiet. We moved inside the restaurant and it was nicely decorated with music playing. We we came on a Saturday evening so it was busy from the get go. Although we were the first ones in the restaurant, we waited an hour for our food. The food was really tasty - one of the nicest Karahi's I've had. The service was quite slow and after our meals we asked for the bill, we waited 20 minutes but no one came over - so we had to walk to the front bar to ask to pay. We came in at 5pm and left at 7:30pm and we only had main courses, no starters or desserts. I think I would have given 5 stars if the service was at a higher standard and if we were acknowledged a bit more. This is something that can be worked on. Me and my partner always look for high-quality service when we come out to restaurants.

This was our first visit to the Barton Bangla and it won't be our last. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. The restaurant is great, we were in the conservatory at the front which is very light and warm. The food was amazing well presented and very tasty. I can highly recommend the Barton Bangla.

Y first experience with Indian food. Absolutely delicious. This restaurant is fairly delux with beautiful decor. I really enjoyed everything.

Just been for the first time. What can I say, the best madras I've ever had. The best onion bhajis I've ever had. Rice and chips were really nice. Really nice friendly staff, great atmosphere and very good value for money. You can tell that quality products are used in the food. Would definitely recommend and we will be going again. And possibly for Christmas day or New year's eve night.

Never been disappointed here. A good range of choice for all palettes, each with distinctive and authentic flavours. Friendly and attentive service without intrusion too, topped off with tasteful decor.

Food is excellent and staff are amazing with their service and timing. Only thing that Barton Bangla Brasserie could do to improve the experience is improve/update the interior.

Take away, totally at ease and Covid safe. The best meal I've ever had in my 52 years. Haven't been this emotional since my wedding night.

Overall we had a great meal here. The time between starter and main was long and almost spoilt the meal. However, it was well worth the wait. The food was fantastic. We were questioning the service amongst ourselves when a senior waiter came and apologised for the delay as they were so busy, and at the end one of the bosses came and gave us a coffee on the house, to be fair this acknowledgement salvaged our experience. The food was the best we have had for a long time. 👌 PS the recommended Roti vs the chapati/nan bread we were due to order was good too 🙂
