We went for a family lunch last week. This pub has a really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The quality of food was very good with a superbly presented sunday roast and a nice range of starters. Will definitely be going back in the near future.

Good food. Limited menu, but that isn't a problem as the food is lovely. Great lamb duo, and chicken tagine.
Excellent food and very friendly. The food is superb and there is clearly a talented chef in the kitchen. It's quality over quantity but with a dessert it's perfect. Nothing bought in here.

We booked here for Sunday lunch whilst staying at The Gothic Temple at Stowe.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and flexible in dealing with our groups food requests.
The food itself was delicious. Beef and lamb were perfectly cooked and, as were all the trimmings.

Last time I reviewed this I gave it one star and a bit of a hammering! As a result of that, they invited me back to try them again. I have to say that this time it was exceptional. It was a regular menu. There was nothing special because they'd invited me back so I think it has greatly improved from
