An indulgent and lush Sunday Roast - between the four of us we had beef, pork and nut roast with all of the trimmings and generous portions of properly prepared veg, including cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, carrots, peas and mangetout. Everything was so well prepared - we had just enough room for crumble and ice cream. Absolutely what a Sunday Lunch should be. A really friendly welcome too.
What an absolute gem of a place. The food, atmosphere and staff made our weekend away after having a meal here. so much so that we have decided to come back and stay here next year. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and the staff and locals were super friendly. I can recommend the chicken and pasta, absolutely delicious. Make sure you book in advance because they seem to get super busy. We just happened to turn up after a cancellation.
The Harp is by far one of the best places I have ever enjoyed a pint!!!! We didn't stay over night so unable to pass comment on the rooms, though I do hear they are great!
The service is beyond a doubt spot on!!! EVERY member of staff looks after the clientele from start to finish.
The locals make you welcome and you really do feel at peace in this pub setting!!!
Make it happen and pop in!!!
We had a truly special stay with family and friends, as a stop off on a bike tour through wales. The inn is an old characterful building. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Both dinner and breakfast had good choice and were delicious. The location and view is unique. Would love to visit again.
Great food and setting. They were a bit frantic about a larger booking that we had to move our booking to accommodate. This led to us being rushed a little to make our orders before the larger booking got stuck in and for a bit of a frantic shop floor. Not a huge issue but think could be better masked. Would def come back.
A great little find! We're staying in the area for a few days and were recommended The Harp Inn for a Sunday roast, which did not disappoint! Lovely food, generous portions, cracking service and that view...!
The best Sunday lunch you can find at a really decent price. The desserts are also to die for, with welcoming and lovely service! Would recommend to all - definitely worth a detour.
Have you ever wondered if perfection in a pub with accommodation really exists? Well, it does! The gorgeous Harp Inn, nestled in a panoramic setting in beautiful Radnorshire has the lot. Scrumptious food and drink, superb staff, the warmest of welcomes and rooms to wallow in combine to make this a little corner of heaven. This is a dreamy place where time stops still, the pulse lowers and relaxation stalks you in every nook and cranny of this lovingly kept ancient inn.
Last week we spent 3 enjoyable nights at The Harp. At exceedingly short notice James, Matt & Ryan made us all most welcome, served us excellent dinners on our first 2 nights and gave us service over and above the call of duty. In addition, our breakfasts on all 3 mornings were way beyond average. The Harp is a good example of why one should insist on supporting small private establishments and I hope they flourish. We will certainly return.
ps Googlemaps needs to adjust the location of The Harp as they show it in the wrong place. At the moment you have to follow the signs!
Excellent food from award winning chef. The pub itself is very old, quirky and charming. The location, spectacular. Booking a table is strongly advised as they get busy.
Great food friendly staff. Lovely views if you eat outside.
The perfect pub in my eyes!! Stayed here while working and it absolutely made my week! People are so friendly, the food is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, gutted I’m not around for a Sunday roast I bet it’s epic! Breakfast also amazing - they do delicious poached apricots with star anise and cinnamon that I am going to replicate. I will be back, thanks so much for looking after me, I will be dreaming about red wine by the fire! Xx
I can only agree with other reviewers. A lovely pub, great atmosphere, attentive staff. Dog friendly. A choice of meals for veggie’s too. Our meal was, perhaps, one of the tastiest we’ve had.
This is in a lovely position with extensive views of the Welsh hills. Our Sunday meal was simple, well presented and well cooked. The two young members of staff were very attentive and helpful. We found the room we were in could have been warmer but overall good pub grub and atmosphere. There is seating outside where on the day, in bright sunshine, many seemed to be enjoying the views. I'd recommend it as a place to head for especially in the warm weather, well worth a visit.
Excellent good value food in a lovely little local pub. Great quality local ingredients treated well. The peanut butter and chocolate desert is to die for and the duck with fennel sausage cassoulet is amazing.
An old inn with amazing views - great staff and beer - just go and enjoy - book for food
lovely stay, Imogen and James are fantastic hosts!
Superb food, lovely location, friendly staff. We were lucky to have happened on this due to looking for toilets en route home from holiday! Weather was amazing so we had glorious views.
Local ales in fantastic condition. Even better is the view from the garden. Will be back
