This is I believe one of the best “hidden gems” on the South Downs. Stumbling over this place this morning was rewarding, home made cake and tea, served with warmth and honesty. I would like to have tried something from the main menu but I had to march on with 60 miles to go. I will be back again and I will recommend it to those I meet walking East.

Like a little oasis, with good coffee and delicious cake, and run by lovely people. If you’re on the South Downs Way headed towards Winchester, like me, and have struggled up the hill from the traffic horror of Pyecombe, then this is the calm and nurturing place that you seek! 🌞

Such a wonderful little hidden treasure. We stopped in for refreshments after hiking along the South Downs Way. The ladies were so welcoming and the food delicious! Thoroughly recommended.

What a beautiful location whatever the weather 😊 Food is amazing and the lovely Paula and Diane are so welcoming ... If you haven't been already then you really must trek on over there ... Not been a for a couple weeks so having withdrawals on both the cakes and the most amazing country side ... One of sussexs treasures ... You won't be disappointed !! ... 😊

Thank you lovely ladies for making us feel so welcome when we came to visit you in the week to rest and refuel with the children from Albourne under 5's Pre school. We do hope you enjoyed our animal songs too!! We had a wonderful morning seeing the Lambs! Xx

My partner and I stumbled on the cafe on our walk. We visited on a sunny day and loved the cafe! Its a very cute caravan kitchen with lovely staff. We both had green soup with bread. Both of these were delicious and we had to ask for more bread! All the food was of very high quality and we spent an amazing afternoon there!

Wonderful (and very healthy) food in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Downs. How they produce such great food from an old caravan is beyond me! Great halfway stop for a circular walk from the top of Devil’s Dyke.

A little gem tucked away on the South Downs Way at Saddlescombe Farm. Always worth asking if they have the bread pudding. Get there before the end of Nov23 when the current team leave. Then closed until new owners in Mar24

Nice little place this , not obvious that its there if you didn't know as didnt see any signs from the road. Friendly staff, good range if cakes - I had tiffin which was very nice and the tea was made quickly and was reasonably priced. Note its on the south downs way so its a handy stop if your off roading on the SDW.

This is such a beautiful hidden gem. It's not signposted or advertised yet it was full and busy when we went. The staff were rushed but steadily worked their way through the orders and it's a lovely place to wait! Surrounded by rustic buildings and wildflowers (and wildFLOURS in the tasty food!)

Grabbed some takeaway soup (take your own flask). Great value and delicious on a wet summer day. Will be returning for the smashed avocado breakfast before we travel home. Haven’t tried the cake yet but smells and looks equally as good.

The Wildflour Cafe is situated in a beautiful location on the South Downs and is a perfect stopping point if you are walking in the area. We were doing a circular walk from Devil’s Dyke and stopped here for lunch. We had salad bowls (vegetarian and vegan options) and a nice refreshing cold can of juice drink. There are some undercover tables, but as it was a nice day, we sat out in the garden area and it was very pleasant indeed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere very relaxing. Toilets are available nearby at the National Trust building. Well worth a visit!

After many years of the Hikers rest cafe in this spot, their set up would have always been hard to follow. Several months have gone by since this new place opened and sadly the set up still looks far from finished with the surrounding areas looking quite untidy. and parts of the building looking in need of decoration. So to the eye, not that inviting. Though they have made a little effort with the flowers in tubs. All that said, the food and refreshments look good and reasonably priced. However they need a wider range of products for cheaper snack meals, like baguette or panini.
