We had a beautiful meal with top class service on Saturday. I was a fantastic atmosphere, brilliant and authentic food that was out of this world. Cooked fresh and to a bespoke spice for every guest (with options to add extra heat if wanted), the flavours were insane! We will most certainly be back. We loved it so much so… we bought your book to learn more and that’s full of hints and tips too! Thank you for a wonderful evening and such attentive staff! A recipe for Afghan chicken is all that’s missing from the book ;) Highly recommend the tasting platter too to try lots of hits from the menu!

I've just had my first visit to Dalvee where I've gone from not being a big fan of Indian cuisine in general to thinking this might be my new favourite restaurant of all time! For your first time i recommend you try the "can't make your mind up" dishes (essentially tapas Dalvee style) ...just wow! Every single dish was flavoursome, divine and almost impossible to choose a favourite between them. The staff were fabulously efficient, friendly and helpful and the chef/owner an absolute delight with a genuine interest in everything being just right. Absolutely perfect place in every way.

Excellent food! Everything I had here was extremely tasty. I had the varied starter & main course, which gives a wide range of flavours that included lamb, chicken ,king prawn & various vegetable dishes. All outstanding. It was all served with sauces & garnishes to compliment the dishes. If you like Asian fusion cooking then definitely give this place a go. Didn't try any desserts, as we were all too full from the starters & mains. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere & although it's fairly small it doesn't feel crowded. Staff were very nice indeed. I'll definitely go back.

Little Indian gem of Poulton. Authentic Indian food in a cosy atmosphere with excellent service. We called in on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised with their live music offering that started at 8 pm ! Would recommend the chaat, vindaloo, and 3 in 1 taster meal.

What a great place for casual dining, lovely atmosphere and immaculately clean. Every aspect of our experience was excellent. Great service and recommendations from our waiter (who was delightful), we opted for 'a bit of everything' to start followed by a curry platter each. The food was fresh, hot and beautifully presented, an absolute taste sensation. As well as great food and service it was also really good value. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The place was buzzing and we had the pleasure of meeting the lovely owner/chef, Seema who exudes so much passion for her craft. They offer authentic, fresh, handmade food using only the finest ingredients based on recipes handed down over generations, prepared with utmost love by the owner/chef - This was so evident on the quality and taste of the dishes. We tried the following: 》Dhaba Chicken (Marinated tender chicken and drumsticks cooked in a mixture of spices, herbs, onions and tomatoes) 》Blackeye Peas Curry (Blackeye peas and Potatoes) 》Chicken Pakora (Deep fried marinated chicken served with sweet chilli pepper sauce) 》Aloo Paneer Tikki (Fried Potato patties served with yogurt, herbs and spices) 》Gulaab Jamun Cheesecake (A twist to the popular Indian dessert - gulab jamun, hidden under a soft and light cheese) 》Shahi Tukda (Indian version of the British classic bread and butter pudding) The starters were delightful, the mains' meat was tender, spice levels were on point, moreish curry gravy and the aroma was to-die-for. I also fell in love with their contemporary desserts, it's flavours were amazing and certainly ended our night on a high (sweet) note! I highly recommend the place and we can't wait to be back x

I can’t put in to words how good this place is. The staff were so attentive and endearing and the chef/owner was the most wonderful, down to earth person I have met. She engaged with the diners and made sure everything was perfect. The food was like no Indian I have ever tasted. It was authentic Indian food, I felt like I had experienced the culture like no other time before. The meals are worth the money. They come with rice and bread which is included in the price. Two lovely young lads served us, one called Dan who made the experience a 10/10 too. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone locally and afar! Great mixture of vegetarian and meat too! As a vegetarian I often struggle. Thank you for the great experience that made a bad week awesome! Emma

This evening we had the great pleasure of dining at Dalvis Indian Restaurant in Poulton. This was our first visit and will definitely be the first of many. The whole experience was great from the waiting on staff enthusiastically welcoming us in, to the owner/chef (Seema) introducing herself and showing the passion behind her food and explaining how each dish is made. The menu is very short for the reason of being made fresh including level of spice to suit your needs, it is also changed every 2 weeks which I think is a great idea as I can try new things each visit. The restaurant itself is vibrant in colour and atmosphere. Could not recommend this establishment any higher. The food itself was absolutely amazing, plates cleared and comfortably full. Thank you to all the team for a great experience.

We dined last night at the restaurant for the first time and we’re blown away by the wonderful food, clearly cooked with love. These were the best curries I have ever tasted, I would strongly recommend the pork vindaloo, the lamb, the potato dish and the ravioli inspired pudding, all absolutely to die for. The separate spice dish meant I could season the dishes to my own palate, the vindaloo would normally be too spicy for some but not when you can season to how you like it. The welcome was warm and friendly, the food was pure genius and we will be back again very soon.

Had a wonderful meal here tonight. The food was sublime and we loved the option “indulge your tastebuds” where you can choose 3 different curries and create your own level of heat with the separate spice mix. Standout service and so lovely to spend time talking to Seema about her philosophy around cooking. A meal to remember for all the right reasons. Highly recommended.

Firstly this is totally authentic Indian cuisine and not the Restaurant where you would find Chicken Tikka Masala. The staff are young, friendly, helpful and can't do enough for you and Seema the owner is such a delightful lady. The food is another level, I have eaten many an authentic curry around the world and in this country and Dalvis is no exception. The smell, the taste and texture when you try the food is just sublime. The portion sizes are not meagre in the slightest, the amount of succulent meat in the curry is astounding, we left the restaurant feeling well fed after three courses. I have to say, when you see the odd bad review of Dalvis from somebody nitpicking or somebody who gives KFC, McDonald's and other fast food places 5 stars while giving Dalvis 1star then the cynic in me thinks there are shenanigans going on . If all you have ever had is the usual British curry then it wouldn't hurt to give Dalvis a whirl, your taste buds will surely be tingling. Big thank you to Seema and all the staff at Dalvis for a truly wonderful experience.

First time for me. Absolutely awesome and the owner was lovely. She took the time to come out and speak to us about our meal. What a truly lovely lady. If you want traditional authentic Indian made Indian food (not your British indian) well why not try for yourself. We all got the taster curries that were mild and we spiced them up according to our own palet. What a fab idea. I will deffo be back to try another dish!!!

Myself and my partner had never been to this restaurant before but had heard lots of good things about it. So, tonight we were unexpectedly child free and thought we’d give it a go, and, oh my goodness I’m so glad we did!! I had a starter of turkey style chicken cutlet which was so tasty, the homemade chilli jam with it was spicy but delicious. I then had the dalvi thali platter with 3 different curries, srilankan fish curry, butter chicken and shikari lamb curry. Each curry was divine and came with a little pot of extra chilli so you can spice up each dish if you prefer. My partner had the dhamaka chicken to start, the chicken was buttery soft and almost melted in your mouth. He then had the shikari lamb curry and asked for it spicy, the lamb just fell apart, it was so tasty. Everything from start to finish was amazing and the staff are so helpful. We will definitely be returning!! Thank you Seema and staff! 🥰 (Sorry, forgot to take pictures but will do next time)

Authentic Indian food. I ordered the combination of 3 curries thali. The food was delicious and very flavoursome, mine came with a spice pot to add to the dishes. This is a lovely touch so you can have the strength of curry you like. Lovely touch was having Seema come to check all was OK with your meal. Good service. I would recommend Dalvee

Amazing food! Got the vegetarian thali and it was delicious - some of the best Indian food I’ve had and the thali is great for trying a few different things. Will definitely be coming back 😊
