Stopped here on the second leg of our tour of Northern England . Nice pub with plenty of seating and a larger beer garden. The car park next door was quite busy when we visited but we managed to get a spot easily. Hanging baskets were stunning

No idea if it was too little staff or just badly managed. The tables were clear but not cleaned. Seats also needed a good swish of the hand before sitting. Party of 4 people 2 pensioners issue walking.. Staff are polite and somewhat helpful. Toilets clean, coffee machine was working correctly . Food was not to bad at all. I had the 3 for offer and only issue was the chicken wings was a little dry . All in all I liked it and I WILL go again.

Big room + side rooms + beer garden. Well worth a visit. Bright + light + good feel to the pub. Beer and staff excellent.

A very busy branch of Spoons last Saturday. Had a skinny burger and salad followed by chocolate fudge cake. In a very affluent area.

Stylish and seemingly upmarket, I found this place to be very welcoming and extremely busy on the Friday night. The staff were very polite and helpful and considering the sheer numbers of people in attendance, the bar and table service was relatively quick. I didn't try the food so can't comment, however, the drinks prices were reasonable I thought.

Excellent. Can't fault this place. First time visiting and an excellent experience. Food was brilliant, huge portions. Staff friendly. We were pleasantly gob smacked at how quick our food came from time of order via the ordering app. Prices are exceptional as most Wetherspoons usually are. Building itself decorated to a modern standard nice open plan. 10/10.

Met some friends before we went to a local restaurant for a meal. Very busy, no tables available, waited 10mins to be served at the bar. Good value.

Called in first thing in a morning for a coffee whilst waiting for a train. Tasted very nice and had a free refill. Price has dropped so added bonus.

Cold chips but I don't go there for great food. Service and atmosphere good. Still value for money.

The Elk is a lovely pub, the toilets are up quite a lot of stairs, so not sure how wheelchair friendly they are, they also serve food and have outdoor seating, prices are really reasonable

You know what you get with a Wetherspoon's!! Cheap ale, fast service. This is no exception. Beer garden is clean and tidy, just right for a nice, hot, sunny day!!

Pretty typical 'Spoons; clean and presentable, food as per their standard, beer well kept. Only gripe is the carpark outside is chargeable.

I was looking for a breakfast and couldn't find a cafe I liked, then my sister pointed out a Wetherspoon pub, I know they do breakfast so I called in. As usual I wasn't disappointed. A great choice of breakfast and that includes a vegetarian option as well as a slimming freedom breakfast. Staff where helpful and friendly too. Pleanty of seating and clean tables.

This is a very nice Wetherspoons location. The food and service was very averagely priced and food quality was excellent. Service was average but still above standards. We will return here.

It's the better end of the weatherspoons pubs. Food is and drink are spot on for the price mark. Atmosphere is good and the staff are friendly
