It’s been a long time since I frequented the Super Sausage Cafe but I swung by there yesterday as the Wife, whose never been before, was so hungry she could’ve eaten a scabby pony & it’s rider.
This review is for those who’ve never been to the SSC before.
If it’s your first visit then the menu is on the wall, to your left, as you walk in; there are other menus at the counter, just try not to kick the ‘A Board’ in front of the counter like I did!
If you are disabled, as my Wife is, be warned there is quite a step once you go through the 2nd entrance door; as far as I know there isn’t easy access for a wheelchair but I might be wrong.
Seating is mainly fixed which isn’t a real problem & even my ponderous bulk fitted at the table.
Choose what you want to eat/drink, order at the counter, pick a seat & listen for your number to called out (you’ll be given your number when ordering).
The food doesn’t take too long to arrive at the table & is of good quality.
We had the 2 egg, 3 bacon, 2 sausages & chips which to just over £13 for the 2 meals; good value indeed & filling.
The Staff are polite, efficient & friendly so no problems there.
Don’t expect a quiet meal, there is music playing & a lot of chatter when it’s full....perfect!
Whilst you’re waiting for your meal have a gander at the walls, there are loads of photographs, posters & advertising signs; I was quite taken with the ‘Knucklehead Garage Pumping Gas Since 1957k.
All in all a very good experience BUT....be warned...it fills up quickly, especially at weekends & around 12:00 on weekdays.
I attend at least once a month. The scrambled eggs are to die for. Amazingly mouth watering and so full of taste. Same goes for the mushrooms and the bacon. It's soooooo good, I don't know what to eat first. It takes me a minimum of 40 mins to get through my breakfast. Gail and her staff are so personable, polite yet professional each and every visit.
Thank you all.
Wow!!! What can I say this place hits every mark and more. Came here for Father in laws 70th birthday. Always heard good things. There is always a queue but it moves fast, so efficient, friendly and fast. Took our order at the counter food came out quickly and the quality was incredible. 5 of us eating came in at just over £10 each with drinks. Great value at such quality. Thick bacon, huge sausages, steak burger was out of this world, the first bite sent me to another realm!
Constant stream of people in and out friendly happy atmosphere and I’m blown away by the food. It’s spotlessly clean, it’s well kept, modern yet gives off an old school vibe. Popular with the bikers.
I’ve eaten a lot of places and tried many foods and this is by far the best cafe I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. 100% 10/10
Decoration is top tier, vintage memorabilia everywhere, stylish flooring, outside eating area with overhead cover, good ample parking. They even sell merchandise!
What a great place! Fabulous food, friendly atmosphere, what's not to like!
This was the medium All Day Breakfast.. my partner had the low carb brekky of 4 bacon 3 eggs and a field of mushrooms, plenty to eat!!
Been waiting to visit this place for a long time. Every time we were there, it was very busy and the queue, was out of the door. I recommend not to go during peak breakfast time. Definitely, worth it though. Very tasty and very filling.
Arrived on Bank Holiday Monday as part of a 20+ group of bikers for lunch. Being a nice bank holiday it was rammo but as always the staff ploughed through the waiting queue professionally and quickly and the food came out promptly and cooked and served as brilliantly as ever.
If you havent been you yet go,even car drivers are welcomed. Tne food is fresh and lovely and the portions huge. Just look at my picture below to give you an idea. Mnom mnom
Mentally busy Bank Holiday Monday, simple queue ordering system, great menu, nice cafe and outside area, great service.
Food arrived and was superb, just everything right, hot, tasty, plentiful, quick efficient organisation, such great portions I dont need to eat for a week now.
Will absolutely be back for sure!
Great place. Huge portions and good value for money. Got there not long after it opened and there was already a queue but it moved fairly quickly and the food arrived very quickly after ordering. Exactly what you need in a full English. If we lived closer it would be a regular haunt for sure.
Gail and team offered the most amazing breakfast and lunch in the biker café on the A5. Food is always absolutely spot-on and such good quality. It attracts all and sundry which is not surprising as the food and the service is second to none.
Take a trip on the weekend and expect to wait for a table as quite rightly, it is so busy, and a good time if you want to see a lot of bikes if that sort of thing interest you
I went for the chilli dog, which was nearly a foot long, with three delicious breakfast, sausages and home-made chilli, con carne and cheese on top. Couldn’t fault it at all. The rest of the crew had cooked breakfast, which they thoroughly enjoyed too. And there was a piece of sausage left for my sausage dog as well LOL
Awesome place to eat. We love it. Always good value and you leave absolutely stuffed !!!
Some may consider this a bikers cafe, but it's not. Caters for all kinds.
Food is reasonably priced with an excellent taste of background music
Was looking for somewhere for breakfast and it was listed on Reddit as the best breakfast in Milton Keynes. Its a little outside but we'll worth the trip.
It was a Sunday so motor bikes were gathering with bikers stopping, having breakfast and just chatting.
The place was hopping!
I saw plates for one, big enough for my family. A medium is a great size, still huge. Food is great and the atmosphere is buzzing.
