Placed order yesterday, large cod and chips, was delivered in about 10 minutes. Fish was absolutely delicious cooked to perfection steaming hot and was definitely large portion of fish as requested delicious and also generous portion of chips which were tasty and chunky and not greasy at all perfectly cooked and again delicious. Excellent quality and service would definitely order from here again very very impressed well done!
Amazing food and amazing people! I definitely recommend The Fish & Chip shop. I have so many favourites but some of them are cod, haddock, chips, chicken burger, mixed green salad. They have great ice cream options as well. It is our usual place to order quick and healthy fast food : )
The Best in Potters Bar for Value, Service. I used to frequently have Fish & Chips from “Tim’s Fish Bar “ in the 1990s. The New Owners are even Better. Well done. (Retired on a budget)
Have been Coming here since this place opened and have always preferred this to the other chips shops in Potters bar , although last night for the first time I was left wondering if maybe there are new owners here? Just as every other time I've ordered cod or haddock before there has never been skin on the fish and there was this time (not that it bothers me either way) and the curry sauce was a little bland, but honestly other than that it was as good as every other time and we really enjoyed it so definitely a solid 8/10 would be a 10 if the curry sauce was spicier or had a little more flavour 👌.
Ordered a delivery of cod and chips this evening ... probably the best I've eaten in a very long while. The portions were huge and the fish and chips were amazing! A definite 10/10.
I tried this Fish & Chip shop for the first time today. At first I thought it was a tad expensive for 2 large cod and chips and a saveloy, I was pleasantly surprised when the food arrived and I opened the box to find the equivalent of a great white shark in the box and around 4 pounds of chips and that was just mine. I must also add how tasty it was and I shall definitely be using them again. Very nice and value for money. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing fish and chips. Large portions for the good price. A medium haddock and chips is enough for 2. I’ve been coming back ever since I discovered the place. 10/10.
This has to be the best fish and chips I have ever tried before! I have had their food on multiple occasions and have even eaten in, their service is fast and the food is always fresh, I love how they provide healthy options too! The team are great and they always give me brilliant service! You guys have really transformed the place completely from the previous owners! Well done!
We've lived around the corner from here for 16 years, and this has always been a chip shop. It's changed hands many times, and sometimes hasn't been that good. This is by far the best food in all that time, and it's taken ages until now for someone to come along and get it right. Can't comment on the fish as don't have it, but the chips are excellent.
This plaice just gets batter and batter. Seriously, the portions are not only huge but its really good fish and chips. We do vary our eating in the 5 or so Chippys locally but this is now our go to in Potters Bar. £16.50 for 2 suppers with wally and mushy peas!

I have been here twice so far - the first time I had traditional cod and chips which was better than any fish and chips around the area and portions were generous and the second time I tried their savaloy which was so yummy and crunchy. Im going again this weekend to try a healthy grilled fish option with sweet potato fries and salad, which is what keeps pulling me back - so many different options (they also do pie and mash, homemade fishcakes, rotisserie chicken, ribs etc). Furthermore, its super clean in there and staff don't make you feel uncomfy. 5 stars to this place
I just went to this fish and chip shop, a very friendly and kind lady served me, whilst my food was cooking she gave my daughter a lolly and was speaking with her, the food is of very good quality and very good portion sizes, the lady I general was very lovely! Thank you
The best fish I have eaten in years, particularly the haddock. I have eaten bad fish and chips around High Barnet for years due to a failure of imagination of where to go,but it is only 10 minutes away. They also do free delivery. Can’t imagine eating from anywhere else now.
