Went to the Manor yesterday and was very impressed with it. Very good service, bar staff were very knowledgeable about their products, the food was super with large portions and the desert I had the toffee sundae was without doubt the tastiest ever desert I have had in my 56 years on this planet! I would recommend this place to anyone
Excellent food and service today. Very busy but staff attentive and great food. Pomegranate salad was so tasty and everyone's meal was cooked perfectly. A great place to meet and eat. Would recommended.
I fail to see how people score this place low. The staff are friendly and willing to have a laugh, the food is fresh and the bar itself is well kept and provides a nice rustic feel. Just back from taking my parents there for a meal and they also praised its food and atmosphere.
Will definitely be going back when I can, one of the gems around Potters Bar for an afternoon/evening out!
Myself and 5 friends met for lunch yesterday and had an excellent meal. Good choices, well cooked and although they were very busy we had the best service. Would highly recommend.

I had the privilidge of attending a wedding reception here yesterday. A lovely quirky building, great service, very friendly staff and fantastic food. We were a party of 20 and the choice of food and quality was impecable. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon / evening.
Quick drink after work, plenty of places to sit, bar menu had a good variety, bar staff had a good knowledge of wine. Overall lovely friendly pub �

We visited a few days ago, a lovely establishment to visit, it’s very cosy and very relaxing. I do love the fact you can bring your dogs inside. We had coffee upon arrival which were nice. Then decided to have some lunch, I ordered the roast chicken. It was delicious and probably one of the best I’ve had. The pricing wasn’t too bad for what we got. The atmosphere was also great. I took one star off the service ranking merely because I had noticed that the staff weren’t attentive to us as they were to other customers. We were only approached when the food we ordered had arrived and when the empty plates were being taken, which seemed to be by the manager/supervisor. Nothing in between that like the other tables. That’s the only reason for my mark down. However to the staff we did get served by we’re really polite and I’m sure this was a one off and definitely has not put me off from coming here again.

From the moment we were seated, Dominique greeted us with a genuine smile and an air of warmth that instantly made us feel welcome. Dominique exuded a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness, making us feel like valued guests throughout our visit.
Called in for lunch and a break from driving on the M25. An fascinating place that looks like it has dropped in from a different century. We received o warm welcome to this obviously popular place. The chicken strips, haddock goujons and chips were hot and tasty and the service was excellent. A great watering hole just off the motorway but remember not to drink and drive. The coke cola is refreshing.
Made a group visit of 32 people for dinner. Pre-event planning and communication was good and everything was ready for us when we arrived. We had the upstairs room to ourselves which created the perfect atmosphere. It's a lovely venue. The service was excellent and staff were concerned that everything ran smoothly and that we enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were attentive to refill our glasses. I thoroughly recommend this venue for a group event and will use the Old Manor again.
We went there for a Family Sunday roast and turns out has been one of the best Sunday roast ever! Great selection of beers and a fantastic selection of spirits. After the lunch we moved form the restaurant area to the pub area and we enjoyed few cocktails. The service was really good, friendly and professional! we will be back soon!
We had some excellent cocktails today mixed by Ellie. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, and really seemed to be enjoying serving their customers. Would definitely go again. The scotch egg was great too!
Lovely place with good food and superb service. Ellie was very patient with our table that was rowdy and easily distracted, and we really enjoyed the hot chocolate she made (truly was banging, and I enjoyed the tiny chocolates that came on the side).

I booked this with Dominique who was an absolute pleasure to deal with over the phone. She arranged a secluded dining spot where the four of us could enjoy a Sunday Lunch with our two young dogs.
The service team on the day were absolutely exceptional in their care and attention to detail from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble from ordering drinks and our lunches to a very special act of kindness towards our four legged family members.
Our dogs were made to feel very welcome and my dog Benson is used to a special treat when we take him out. One of the lovely serving staff provided him with some beef scraps which he soon polished off and I ordered some sausages for him as well which were devoured without hesitation. The same could be said for our lunches. Piping hot and piled high with beautifully cooked meat, vegetables and a sumptuous Yorkshire pudding the meat eaters in the party barely left a morsel. My tasty vegetarian option came with a delicious and delicate gravy and was served at the same time as the rest of my group so nice we could all eat together.
What can I say about the puddings except oh la la - four naughty plates of tastebud tingling desserts all oozing luxurious mouthfuls and not crumb left in the bowls!
The Old Manor is a beautiful building in Potters Bar and a complete surprise to find such top notch dining experience without blowing your budget, putting on a tuxedo, or travelling miles to find. We came after our dog walk and were greeted warmly and enjoyed our meal in a relaxing and welcoming environment. The staff are absolutely outstanding, the food delicious and they welcomed our pooches as though they were their own.
The Old Manor deserves much more than the five stars I can award it and it certainly gets a five paw rating from Benson for the best hospitality we have encountered 🐾 🐾🐾🐾🐾⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

First time i visited the old manor and loved the roast dinner! Excellent place and friendly staff - not pushed to buy drinks we didn’t want. Delicious food will 100% go again
We visited here yesterday and were greeted by James. He was very welcoming, friendly, and gave the whole experience an excellent vibe. We visited again today and even though he wasn't working, he still helped out by running our drinks to the table when the other staff were busy. A great asset to the pub. This place is my new local!
Just cannot understand some of the negative reviews on here, possibly some unjustified resentment of the restaurant.
Our Starters and mains were superb. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Our fabulous waitress Gracie was always on hand if we needed anything. Don't listen to the grizzly whingers, try it yourself and judge.
We are at the Manor, we had burgers and few snacks, absolutely fantastic, very tasty and freshly cook we can taste the difference with others cheaper pub chain! Service lovely, professional and friendly. The pub is well kept and clean. Superb!
Wonderful pub, great atmosphere! Had a great evening after work Friday and the staff were so friendly. I believe my host was called Ellouise, she was so hospitable and very chatty! Made an otherwise rubbish day so much better! Very warm feel inside and food was amazing will definitely be returning.
