This is a must do visit if you are in the area. Sunny days you can sit outside pub or across the road on benches to take in the fantastic views. Colder days there is plenty of room inside with the fire burning.
Friendly barman, great beer and cider choices, a good lunchtime menu and a biscuit for t
Lovely atmospheric pub, wonderful views over Dartmoor with warming fire. Food was wonderful, good honest fare. Steak baguette was just what needed after morning on the moors - children's fish fingers was large portion, well worth it. Under 14s only allowed within specific room, so be aware when visi
Went in here after me and the wife went for a roam on the moors. It was a misty and wet day this pub was a cosy sanctuary. The fire was alight and the food and drink was great. Would definitely recommend If passing by has a long and rich history.
The Warren House Inn, nestled in the heart of Dartmoor, is a true gem that offers a delightful dining experience. I was captivated by its warm atmosphere and the breathtaking view of the surrounding moorland. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the roast dinner and the pub's location truly set
A gem of a old pub. And a warm welcome from the landlord. Our dog was very welcome which was brilliant. Our dog took to the landlord straight away, so that's all I needed to know. Had a lovely pint of ale and a jumbo sauage and chips. A very warm atmosphere and the smell of the open fire was just p
The food was okay - excellent quality ingredients but nothing crazy!
The real gem is the atmosphere. It's so cosy and welcoming, especially after a long walk!!
And there was a lot of information about the history which my family and I enjoyed a lot.
WARREN HOUSE INN
Welcome stop made here for a pint and snacks. Yellow Hammer Ale on draught - happy days! Friendly, helpful staff. Gorgeous old pub with great history, lovely atmosphere and open fire. Outdoor seating provided with stunning Dartmoor views. Lovely menu too, so we'll definitely be head
Love this pub! The views are outstanding, the staff are lovely and the only reason it dropped a star is because the ploughman's was just a slab of cheese, a roll, a pickled onion and a bit of salad. Go for the rolls as they are better value. The roulade was lovely!
I've been coming here since a little boy, and it hasn't changed one bit.
The fire is still burning and has been burning all year round since 1800, and when I returned as an old man, I'm sure it will still be burning.
Wonderful Dartmoor Pub offering a nice selection of beers and food - the rabbit pie is well worth the trip up on its own. We were greeted warmly by the woman behind the bar and we enjoyed a pleasant early supper.
