Wonderful coastal views at this very pleasant seaside cafe. Outdoor and indoor seating. The scampi and chips were really good, the best we have had. The owner and staff were very friendly too and the prices were good. Water bowl for dogs.

Lovely small cafe serving a variety of food in a beautiful setting. Friendly staff who do everything to help and the service is excellent. Yes, prices are quite high, but we have paid far more where we live in Devon and for not such good quality. Clearly the economic climate is affecting small hospitality businesses like the Jolly Roger but this is one lovely business that deserves great support. Highly recommended.

Brilliant service absolutely delicious food and stunning views very reasonably priced. Very good quality food. These bad reviews are absolutely not reflective of the experience I have had here. Fantastic establishment and can't wait to return!

The staff were friendly and the chips good. Only 4 stars due to having run out of ketchup but I guess it's the end of a season. Still no cards being taken but having read recent reviews we had cash with us. Lovely ice cream milkshakes.

Came to this cafe for a chocolate ice cream and it was the best that I have ever had! Also got a portion of chips which were nice and crispy. Gorgeous view and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend.

Great location, good to sit outside and look down on the beach. It's not fine dining but food is fine and reasonably priced. There are vegetarian and vegan choices. Great selection of ice cream.

After walking on the coast path the whole day this was the only café I could find. The coffee was good and the one vegan slice of cake that was left was very delicious. The chips were average and you have to pay extra for sauces. Unfortunately you can only pay by card if you spend a minimum of 10£. However, the staff apologized about it and was very helpful in general.

Lovely cafe with friendly, helpful staff. Seating inside & outside. Views over the bay. Great coffee ☕👌🏼 Range of savoury items. Cakes, tray bakes, ice cream etc. Children's menu. Outside tap to refill water bottles & dog bowls. £10 minimum spend for card payment.

After a long hot walk on the coast path this was like a little bit of heaven on earth. We sat and enjoyed an ice cream and cold bottle of water, which was much needed. Only criticism was the cost at just under £12 for 2 small ice cream in a tub and 2 bottles of water. Quick tip: If parking at Portwrinkle, take some change with you as the lower council carpark is much cheaper than the privately owned one by the cafe 😉

Only popped in for a pot of tea, but great view of the bay, which considering the stunning weather was really quiet, and the delicious looking food on the other tables mean we will be back. Am in two minds as to whether to post this review as the beach here appears to be a hidden gem ;)

Good food and views, some lovely craft bits available to buy (craft items cash only). Dog friendly, can upload a pic of your pooch to their website.

Nice little cafe. Freindly staff and decent food. Only downside is the £10 min spend on card. All I wanted was chips and a cuppa tea had to spend more. But it was worth it. Spent the day looking for Lego on the near by beaches with The Gertlug. We had a great day out.

Caught in a storm this was an obvious choice to watch it blow away. Fantastic sea views over to Rame Head in the east and Looe in the west. Pretty beach which doesn't get too busy. Safe swimming to on a warm day. Great food and coffee.

We had sandwiches/pannis and chips, all lovely and generous. Place is lovely and the girl serving was very friendly. We went for a walk and back for a delicious ice cream. Lovely spot, will be back.

Brilliant little place. We happened across Portwrinkle beach unintentionally, as all other local beaches were very busy. The Jolly Roger sits above the beach and is the only place close by to get food or drink (or ice creams and a few beach things, boards, tents, etc). I was surprised by how nice the sandwiches and pasties were. Freshly made and not too expensive (not overly cheap, but bare in mind there is nowhere else to eat). Definitely worth a visit, both to the beach with lots of shrimp filled rock pools and The Jolly Roger for lunch.
