Can I give six stars? A hidden restaurant in Portsea that reserves the best typical Japanese food in the south of England. A small but very cozy restaurant. We ordered the set menu with a starter and two dishes. Simply sensational. Excellent food. The drinks menu is quite varied, with emphasis on sakes. The service was excellent. Anyway, one of the best restaurants in the region and certainly worth a visit.

My partner and I had a very special meal here last night and were given the utmost attention and care from the staff. The fish was beautifully presented and very fresh, the cocktail was delightful, and the server was friendly and honest, giving his genuine recommendations off the menu. It's exciting to see this kind of dedication and authentic flavour in Portsmouth and I wish the team continued success! We will definitely be back!

Highly attentive staff, amazing ramen, lovely atmosphere. The most authentic and delicious ramen that I've had since moving here from east Asia. My partner and I have been trying to satisfy the tonkatsu (roast pork) ramen craving for years with no luck. We were so excited that the egg was soft boiled, as many other shops have hard boiled them. The attention to detail to every ingredient is what makes it such a great dish. The staff were lovely and came over to chat with us about various things during our meal. We also ordered the steak edamame roll and the presentation was a meal in itself. The roll was amazing with it's tender steak, sweet and tangy ponzu sauce, creamy avocado...just 10/10 amazing. I highly recommend and would give 10 stars if I could. We will definitely be going back, as we've now found our new local ramen shop.

Great little restaurant. Our group of 8 sat around the kitchen and were able to watch our food being prepared. As they only have a few people at any one time, the chef(s) are able to make a specific menu of that's what you need. We really enjoyed the food - the set menu is large and varied, from sashimi to seaweed, gyoza and ramen. Dinner here is a different experience to most restaurants and the food is great too. We'll be going back

9 minute walk from Gunwharf Quays Friendly and professional staff Great choice of menu items, I went for the takoyaki (octopus balls) and roast pork ramen. A rich broth and tasty roast pork complemented by the greens and narutomaki

Today the company arranged for us to go to yuchinhon Japanese restaurant for Christmas lunch. The boss said he made a reservation two weeks in advance, and specifically asked for "omakase" two weeks in advance. This really gave us a big surprise. We don't know what to eat in advance. At the beginning, they will ask us what allergies we cannot eat. After 15mins later the food is served. Really delicious, the chef is very attentive. . This is the best Japanese I have met in Portsmouth.

This is the most quality Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten in Portsmouth. The decoration of the restaurant is very comfortable, very Japanese style. And the food is also very high quality. I will definitely come again!
