Tonight was my 1st night and I think this is definitely my new spot. Super friendly people, really good food, and fun music. The atmosphere is really cool, being an old bank.
Happy hour was thoroughly enjoyable, with $1 ribs, and $5 whiskey. I really couldn't go wrong.
Loved it here. Dolton is an amazing bartender. I came here on my way back from Maine. I got a cheeseburger with cheddar jack, beer cheese, lettuce and onions served with salt and vinegar chips and some sweet cider beer for $5 10/10 place. I can’t wait to come back. They also have great deals during the week
Had some of the tenderness & tastyess Brisket & pulled pork. Great service & they are in the coolest historic building. Fabulous also that they offer meals for dogs on there patio. Also had Hush Puppy appetizer which was delish.
Happy hour: 1/2 price draft beers and 1/2 price apps - an amazing combo! I came for an earlier dinner and was super happy to find out that happy hour ran 4-6 everyday. What we paid for and what we got made this a great find amd was super valuable.
The food we got was various appetizers (wings, totchos, tuna tartar), which were good. The only thing was I wish the totchos were not already soggy when they were brought to our table. There were so many options for draft beers, so we could dry multiple at half price.
There is outdoor seating right out front with about 10 tables, which was very convenient! Plus, we could bring our dog ( they are very dog-friendly).
Our server was very attentive and all of the staff helps each other, but there was about 2 wait staff and 1 hostess running drinks and seating between the tables inside and outside.
Overall, this is a good spot if you're looking for casual atmosphere, decent bar food, and draft beer at an affordable price.
Our first time here, and it did not disappoint ! We took our dog, and not only are they extremely dog friendly, but they even have a dog food menu. I ordered the salmon, and it was incredible! The waitstaff and chef are great! Highly recommend!
Wow what a meal! If you like BBQ then stop here! The drinks are also great, I had a Bourbon slushy and umm umm good! The meats were done just right and the service was quick! This will be one of our "go to" going forward!
Ordered take out while in town for work.
For starters, the homemade pretzels were incredible with the bar made cheese sauce and what I'm guessing was a cider based mustard? Both sauces were awesome, the pretzels were NOT over salted.
For the main entree, the brisket was remarkable, incredibly tender, not dry but not greasy, no overbearing seasoning smeared all over them. The sauce served with the brisket was very flavorful, not overly spicy, but it had a nice finish with a nice touch of heat
The beans were excellent but slightly on dry side on because of the way they were cooked but still excellent.
Prices seem a bit high, but the portions, food quality and flavor definitely justify the price. Only issue there would be the dinner should come with a larger piece of cornbread.
Definitely becoming a go to for dinner while we're in town, already told a coworker about this place.
Been here a few times and everything is always fantastic. The food has always been delicious, the servers are always incredibly friendly and it’s housed in a great building with a wonderful ambiance. One of our new favorite places! I highly recommend dining here!
Ever since I saw Nh Chronicle segment about the Feed Company I had to go! We stopped in and sat down. Ordered nachos and a couple of beers. There was no wait to sit down, beers arrived promptly and nachos were good! Gotta go back next time we visit Portsmouth!
Good was absolutely excellent and what a wild history. It's an 1803 original bank (the oldest in the USA) and has the original vault doors, decorative ceilings and everything else. Highly recommend a visit here if you're in Portsmouth.
Traditional Texas BBQ in an old Bank! I ordered 2 meat plate with 2 sides: Ribs & Brisket, beans & mac. The ribs were dry rubbed 👍 and fall off the bone. I asked for Brisket point and received 3 generous thick cuts, with great bark, subtle smoke, and fork tender 👍 I also tried the pork belly burnt ends and hush puppies👍👍. This is what traditional BBQ is known for. Great food in a cool location!
Had two very different experiences here so hard to assign a star value. First experience we sat outside with our dog and had a wonderful experience. Our server was friendly, accommodating, and quick even though the restaurant seemed to be busy. The food was delicious and the portions generous. Even if the food had been subpar, it would have been a positive experience due to the warm atmosphere created by the server and the very dog friendly environment (which included a dog menu!)
Came back again recently with a friend who was visiting. This experience could not have been more different. Even though the restaurant seemed quite dead at the time, we hardly saw our server, and the few times that we did she was incredibly rude. The quality of the food on this trip was okay but had this been my only experience with the food I would not have raved about it the way I did after the first trip. Hoping this second experience was just a fluke but with the cost of eating out, I'm not sure I'd risk coming back.
Not sure how I missed this place before. Looks like a solid BBQ place for Portsmouth and I ordered a tasty southern fried chicken sandwich w Alabama white sauce (horseradish based) for lunch to go. The interior is beautiful and I'm looking forward to trying their meat plates next.
Beautiful old building. Decor seemed a little off but food and service was excellent. Loved the Poutin and BBQ
