Sisters Cafe is amazing! Friendly service, wonderful coffee, and great gluten free options. Looking at the menu I was worried, but phoned sisters and they were so reassuring. I could have all the brunch menu with GF bread, and they even went out their way to make me a specific Roast Dinner all gluten free!
Thank you so much, you made having an intolerance and eating out so easy.
The vegetarian full English breakfast was good. Decent portion size for £9. Good quality food and the atmosphere/vibe was nice and chilled. Nice service. Highly recommend this café.
What a lovely place Sister's Cafe is. Had a bean burrito (vg) and a breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich consisted of hash brows, bacon, egg and cheese and was delicious. We also had a side of seasoned fries. We were trying to think of what we would change to give a 5*. For the burrito, some condiments on the side would make it a 5* - sour cream for example. For the sandwich, we think some chips on the side would be great, even a small amount. We bought chips separately and, although the portion was aplenty, we didn't really need that many and this made it more expensive. The atmosphere was great and the decor modern and comfortable. Will definitely visit again.
A must when we visit Southsea! We have enjoyed a bistro Saturday evening with cocktails and a Sunday lunch and always delicious food made with love and genuinely friendly service 🫶 a special place for my family xx thank you
Very nice roast, opted for the beef. Garlic butter on the veg lovely. Staff friendly and I could comfortably visit again on my own. I see that you sometimes have live entertainment ❤️ will be back.
Fantastic food and exceptional service, great value for money. This is a must do in Southsea
Love coming here for my morning coffee and sometimes breakfast. The staff are so lovely. The food is high quality. The music is great. If I had a sister I doubt she would be as tasty as this cafe
Loved the food loved the ambience and staff and service great. Would recommend. We went for breakfast but I thought it would be a great venue at any time of the day.
Fabulous little find in Southsea. The food is incredible and well priced and the atmosphere is so chilled with great music. Dog friendly too! We’ll defo be back 😍
Lovely restaurant. Food and staff and amazing. We had the full English and it was delicious. Would highly recommend.
New to Southsea!
Fab food. Great flavours. Need to get your hands on the loaded fries or the slow cooked brisket sandwich with dunking gravy. Its British-American Street Food packed with flavour
Really tasty salad for me & fish finger sandwich for my Hubby. Staff were quick to offer a bowl of water for our beloved pooch. Good background music & atmosphere.
Gorgeous food, lovely staff, great vibes. Me and boyfriend went there for a quick brunch and absolutely loved it. Recommend to everyone.
My sister and I popped to Southsea for lunch a few Saturdays back. We had my dog and so were looking for a dog friendly restaurant. They couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious and that staff were incredible. Can't wait to visit again!
At first I thought it's a cafe (didn't note the name) and went for a coffee. But they indeed offer light meals and drinks (tea, wine, beer, not sure about cocktails?). I wonder if it should be a bistol.
The first thing I am happy about is that it there is staff to take your order! It may be my bias, i think a restaurant or bistol should at least provides this service instead of buying food over the counter and paid. If it's a bar (freehouse or tavern) then buying the drink over the counter then it is normal and should be in that way.
They don't offer too many choices in their menu, those are very common foods such as sandwich/ wrapper, salads, breakfast etc. I have tried the first two and the quality are good. Again their wrapper is not cold and i believe it is made until receiving the order. It's not that microwaved hot.
The staff is nice and friendly. If you like to walk the dogs then you may find many new friends there.
The interior design is simple but stylish (modern, not overwhelmed with details). It's a very old building so there are two large windows, and there are two large mirrors mounted on the wall thus this makes the cafe very spacious and vival; it is very comfortable to enjoy your meal alone or with your friends there; not too crowded or too quiet.
One thing that i hope they would 'improve' is that they only serve one draft beer. And I would prefer older background music or songs.
I think they deserve five stars not because they are perfect; but considering the price and the quality. After visiting the nearby supermarket Waitrose and if you want to take a break then you may try this cafe.
Their price is higher than other highstreet food chain, but i think i will cook the food for myself if i want to save money. If I want to enjoy a meal then i would suggest to support this kind of SMEs.
Last i am not paid to write this. I just learnt that some comments are paid to write.
Sisters was my absolute favourite place when I lived in Southsea, hands down the best scrambled egg on toast I've ever eaten, my more adventurous boyfriend ordered a range of things from the menu and each time they were delicious. Staff are always so lovely and welcoming, even when they're rushed off their feet!
Definitely visit here when you can, we can't wait to come back!
Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast there. Looks really nice on the outside and the inside is even better. The staff were very friendly and clearly popular although it was not full. We went for the breakfast sandwich and loved it. You might not think it would work, but my wife and I really enjoyed it. Pity it is 20 miles from where we live, but that is also probably a good thing! Highly recommended!
Stopped here for a working breakfast mid week and enjoyed a great coffee and sausage sarnie. It was a bit off menu, but they were very happy to oblige.
Friendly staff, and a nice calm place to spend a couple of hours in the forenoon.
Had Sunday lunch here today with my wife, two sons and grandson. Really good roast and liked the the option to add extras such as an extra Yorkshire pud! Nice to be able to have a beer with it too. Lovely friendly service. Amazingly met people who we had seen on our last visit six months ago!
