Went there with a friend for a Lunch, food were great especially compared to the price and the size of it. Staff were very very attentive and spot on! She was amazing taking my special request very careful and steak came as exactly as i wanted !
First year anniversary today and we went to where it all started - Bar and Block Portsmouth.
Very attentive staff (but also not too much). But the steaks… the steaks are always delicious! I always order medium-rare with the hope that it isn’t too bloody and Bar+Block never disappoint!
Great cocktails as well! And the music was great.
Definitely recommended and definitely will be using the discount provided for next time :)
Delicious meal with very attentive staff. I'd love to have had room to try some dessert as the choices look fab but sadly there was no room after my steak sampler! Would definitely eat here again
Absolutely delicious steak here. The best steak in Portsmouth. I have the 12oz rump and the 12oz sirloin a time before and both times I've loved the food.

We had a wonderful dinner here last night. We were served by a lovely lady and she did gave 100% service in looking after us. It was quiet in the restaurant so you can talk away while having your meal. It's a really nice place and I like the decor very up-to-date. Comfortable seating also.
It is wheelchair accessible too for anyone wondering. Parking is 10 second walk and in the evening is free to park there.
We both had the 8oz rump steak and they were cooked perfectly. It is served up a little different to how we are use to it as you can see from the photo it's not flat. It was nice to try it a different way though, it makes it different from other restaurants I feel. I did find my peppercorn sauce very thin though it had great flavour. My friend had the red wine and mushroom sauce which I tried though thin too much better and would definitely try this next time.
We also tried the dessert menu and loved it, we had Eton mess Sundae and Churros chocolate sundae they were both delicious and I would get them again. The only thing I would add is that's it's pricey, so if your looking to treat yourself come here.
Really nice steakhouse, good selection of steaks and the ability to choose your own size of steak beyond the normal couple of choices
Christmas eve meal, family of 10 food was lovely and the best part, service the drinks were given slowly and our food allergies we were given the book.
The place has lovely lighting and the music wasn't loud.
Cost wise reasonable no different than most chains, I was surprised it was under a hotel, parking a short walk away.
Couldn't believe this was a chain restaurant! Steaks were amazing, so tender. Place was buzzing, great atmosphere. We were served by Sumayyah who was super helpful and bubbly. Such a refreshing change from chain pubs/restaurants I've eaten in recently!
Would definitely recommend and we'll definitely be back when we're next here.
What a place to start your day. First time novice who needed help manoeuvring the isles, staff there to help all the way. Food was tasty and to a great standard, eat as much as you can for a reasonable price. More places should be able to provide good produce and get the doors moving.
Found this restaurant by walking by. The atmosphere is amazing. Bright because of the big windows and cozy with their leather seats.
I love the fact that they put the kcal on every meal they have. Really good for tracking your kcal for the day. The food came quickly and was really delicious. I just had to order a extra dip for my fries. They don’t come with a dip.
They have beef/pork/chicken and vegetarian alternatives.
Music is playing not to loud and not to quiet. You can enjoy talking with your friends and listen to music if you want to. They hit the right spot.

This place is tucked away off the front but is definitely worth a visit for Sunday lunch. Delicious food, chilled out atmosphere and really friendly, attentive staff. They also do a nice kids menu with some decent choices. This place also had one of the cleanest baby changing rooms we've seen!
Excellent place to go for something to eat and drink or even just a drink. Happy hour on cocktails upto 8pm. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food choice is not large but in doing so they maintain a high level of quality, ensuring the food tastes really nice. If staying in the Premier inn hotel highly recommend booking the meal deal which is linked to this restraunt as value for the quality of food and taste is amazing.

So is the food... although, edible my prawns were over cooked , Scallops were under caramelized, burnt ends were delicious & triple cooked chips were too! Reasonably priced too

The interior had a nice steakhouse feel to it. The evening we were there, they were particularly busy. We were seated in good time. But it took half an hour to get our drinks. An hour for the food to come out. My girlfriend had the Ribeye steak, and for £24, it came out quite under cooked. Asked for it medium- rare it arrived blue! I had the mixed grill. Again, was a bit underwhelming considering the price. I believe this was a knock on effect from it being so busy. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely try this place again, as I see potential.
Great food and service. Lovely waitress called Charde B was friendly and polite. She was brilliant with my daughter.
The minted lamb chops where amazing and I could have ordered a second helping. The puddings were delicious.
