Probably the best Singapore fried rice I have tried in the country. It was so warm and well seasoned!
Used to think this was best Chinese takeaway in area, there chicken curry n rice is to die for easily the best I've had. But to tell you the truth though there chefs special chow mein is bloody awesome. Just don't get it with the prawns in it there vile, prawns should not be slimey
Wow spare ribs in barbecue sauce, supposed to be a starter. Was full after eating them. π Then the chicken curry π π with egg fried rice awesome just the right amount of spice for the kick in the mouth.

Stayed in Portsmouth on our way to the Isle of Wight, problems with the train meant that we didn't get to our hotel until after 9' 0clock and it was Sunday π₯ both of us very hungry and we had no transport, so google told us that the peninsula would deliver, ordered 2 x king prawn with green peppers in black bean sauce and 2 portions of rice, driver arrived in no time, took it to our room and was very pleased with what we had, piping hot with plenty of very good sized prawns, green peppers and a very nice sauce, rice was lovely too, all for less than 20 quid including delivery. Saved our lives as we had to get straight on the boat next day....highly recommend The Peninsula!! Thank you!
I have had currys from here they are amazing, nice and hot and good quality, and good amount of food, chip always nice and love the rice, and i always order from gere as food is brilliant, i have oreded somehere else and it dont beat this place, i will continue ti order from thos shop, i use to come here when my kids was small, they all grown up now, so its been years, thanks Elaine
Love this takeaway. Very friendly staff, always deliver in a reasonable time and the food and portion size is epic. Any requests or slight changes required to the dishes is never a problem for them, which is great. The food is always pipping hot as its freshly cooked and full of flavour. My only one niggle, is that the sweet and sour sauce is way too thick, its more like a jelly than sauce. You have to spoon it out of the container as too much can end up over powering the other flavours of the dish. Other than that, my favourite Chinese takeaway in Portsmouth
I was looking online for a takeaway and peninsula had high ratings so i thought i try and i wasnt dissapointed the ribs are amazing the Singapore chowmein was just how they should be and prompt delivery

I have tried every chinese in Southsea , this one is definitely the Best one, i have been eating there for the past 3 years, and i was never dissapointed. Good price,and good service, you wont Leave with stomach empty. β€οΈ DELICIOUS. 10/10

The only complaint I could ever have about the Peninsula was living at the corner of Somers Road and Margate road meant it was really close and I got kinda fat from all the exceptionally good food. He spoiled it for all the takeaways where I live now because none of them are anything like as good as the gloriously tasty Peninsula food.

They do fantastic starters such as spring rolls, ribs, Prawns on toast etc.
Nice traditional Chinese food, well cooked, and a welcoming landlady.. Very close to Fratton Station, Fawcett Road, Albert Road, Elm Grove, Town, and right besides a good pub, the Fawcett Inn.
Proper hidden gem, chefs specials are just that - Kung Po crispy beef is a particular favourite of ours.
wouldn't use anywhere else love the staff and service and the food is the best we've tasted and we've tried a few different Chinese take away but nothing comes close.
