I always say that you rate a Chinese (whether take-away or restaurant) by the quality of its sweet & sour sauce. And this has to be the best sweet & sour sauce I've tasted in a long time. There's a huge variety of different flavours, including some which don't seem to be the run-of-the-mill chinese fare, the quality of ingredients cannot be faulted, and the waiting time for collection is superb. It's just a shame it's right out at the far side of Farlington, but worth the drive. They do charge for delivery though, which is the only negative point I can think of. Try them, you won't regret it.

Delivered on time, was piping hot and portions are massive! The last Chinese I had (well over a year ago and from a different takeaway) was over salted and made me so unwell. This has to be the best “local” Chinese takeaway I have ever had, it wasn’t over salted, flavours were delicious and this is hands down a family favourite after today! 10/10 from us!
Not sure if this is a great review of PotO or a statement of take-aways in our area, but we pass the door of 4 other similar establishments in order to buy our meal from here. The taste is worth coming back every time, and there is a better selection for me, the veggie than anywhere else i have tried.
Last night was the first time I have used this restaurant and I was really really impressed. Quick delivery and great value for money with the amount of food I got. Will definitely be using again.

Stayed at the holiday Inn express and ordered via phone. Delivery was spot on and the food was faultless in fact would go as far to say best take away I've had.
The sweet and sour chicken was amazing. The beef with mushrooms was delicious, and the prawn crackers were crispy and delightful.
Used this takeaway for the first time last night, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Flavours were lovely and actually one of the best takeaways I've had.
Our 1st experience of this was fantastic! As I have coeliac disease it always nerve racking trying new places.
I can honestly say the lady I spoke to about gluten free options was the most knowledgeable person I've ever spoken to in a restaurant!
She took me through which dishes could be made gluten free. When we collected she marked up the whole menu for me with my gluten free choices.
The food was delicious and we will definitely be returning for more!

My favourite takeaway and just a short walk away. Food is cooked quickly and always tastes good. Front of house is a very pleasant lady and you are always greeted with a smile. Check out their mid week meal deal! Even if this wasn't on our doorstep we would order from here. Its clear that everyone takes pride in their work.
One of the best take aways about. Shame there isn't more parking spaces. As they do get very busy. So call ahead for your order if you can. Very friendly and fast. Well priced food.
Been using for around 2 years now, never had a bad experience. The food is always amazing and never anything missing or wrong. The staff are wonderful, always helpful and friendly, I will always recommended to everyone!
Tasty food without added sugar or msg, when you phone an order in to pick up the times are accurate to work from. Chefs specials are worth trying too. I go back fairly routinely, definitely better than most Chinese takeaways.

Very good food and service.
We ordered tonight and we are not disappointed at all. The food was still hot when we arrived home. Plenty of food !!! It was so tasty and spicy as we like it! Definitely recommend Pearl of Orient!!! Thank you for the warm welcome!!! We will come back soon.
1st time visiting here for a takeaway and was very impressed. Food very delicious and tasty and value for money can get very busy by the amount of orders bring taken on the phone and off the street so be prepared for a wait but it's worth it.
