Garden in the middle of town is always a nice surprise. Only one ale on was the disappointment. Pub with a bit of a reputation that it looks like it's trying to dispel.
Nice pub, reasonable selection of beers, good atmosphere and a really nice beer garden.
Haven't been to The George and Dragon for a few years, I was well impressed with how clean, tidy and very welcoming staff! The garden was a little gem. Would recommend this friendly and what I call, a real pub.

Was a quiet Friday evening when we went in, had a few reasonably priced drinks and got politely told when they were closing the bar, would come again
Lovely place, staff very welcoming. Pub kept very clean from bar, behind the bar always clean glasses never had any problems with the lager always a good pint. Tables always cleared of empties etc. The garden area beautiful a warm relaxing place looked after very much as an ex bar person i give this pub 10/10
Great pub with a sun trap for a garden
Lovely pub, Lovely staff, quite annoying as so many pubs have younger staff and it's not on so It's great to see. People who moan about it being quiet but it's a local pub so some days are going to be quiet, Dont like it, Go clubbing, Pathetic how people want to go for a drink then says its quiet but why do you want others around for, If your on your own talk to the staff. Plenty of other pubs.
Staff are helpful, No rudeness or Nastyness , Nice garden, Friendly locals and its CLEAN, Not had food so can not comment...but will soon.
