Fantastic food and quick service. As the photos show, the food is very well presented and does taste as good as it looks.
If going with family on a bank holiday weekend, just be mindful this is still a pub and there are people getting drunk… including drunken shenanigans. Overall good atmosphere, good food and good beer!
The drinks prices are great at this place, especially if you go between 5-8pm Monday-Friday; they have £3 deals. The music is great as well. With the free WiFi and charging points, we were able to use the space as a work hub which was great.
Really nice, cold, refreshing Peroni on tap. Great atmosphere plus the outside seating area was a great retreat.
A pub with a local atmosphere, easily accessible to one person. The best environment to enjoy watching football.
Well received, staff very good, service very good accoutrements need attention ie sticky menus etc overall very pleasant. We had Tappas dishes were OK but very greasy but you get what you pay for. Overall enjoyed the experience would go back again.
Really enjoyed going to ONeIll's, the food was lovely & the service by Becca was excellent. She was polite & pleasent, I explained I'd booked a table, she served us our drinks & then showed us to our table, when she bought our food made sure we were all ok & if we needed anything else. She was lovely & I thanked her at the end too. It's always nice to put on a good review esp when someone deserves recognition & Becca certainly does ! Thank you Chris Le Manquais ( Mrs)
I loved everything. My only complaint is that there is never a glass of wine available. You need to buy more. It's terrible to drink wine in a gin glass. This has happened to me 3 times within 2 months.
Love this place, prices are so reasonable for lunch time I can feed a family of 4 with drinks for under £25 the macaroni cheese is so cheesey and filling and the sauages in the sausage and mash are so flavoursome. The portions are huge for the price. The staff are so lovely, polite and welcoming. Highly recommended it here
Nice town pub, sat outside on a wobbly table adding a bit of charm. Staff were friendly but had to exchange a glass twice as they weren't clean and still had the last person's lipstick on them. Little high on price, but it's Albert Road so you expect it
Very close to the Kings Theatre and the many other entertaining premises, this expansive footprint of a pub is at the entrance to the vibrating social area that is Albert Road? Although difficult to find parking, on a night out, there are plenty of cabs that know O'Niells.
The property has masses of room both inside and out with clean facilities and a nice diverse menu.
The latest incarnation has had a varied life since established as a Police Station up until 1991, then the Victoria and Albert before today.
Signs of the previous life extend to the castellated roof and the gated ladies toilets ex- white tiled cells. Enjoy the vibes.
Nice place, cozy and quiet when I’ve been there, although it was the 2022 World Cup kickoff.
The burgers… just tasty! Definitely a good place to eat out!
Bar staff and door staff were very friendly. Great atmosphere, good people.
We visited this pub following it's complete renovation, and what a difference it is.
It's been brought right up to current fashion in regards to decor, drinks and food on offer.
The drinks selection is very large and some great touches with the way the bar now looks.
We went in on a Sunday and it was busy, most tables were taken. The atmosphere was good, better than before I'd say.
I didn't get a chance to try the food.

Funny place, definitely geared towards drinkers as we got a quizzical look when ordering regular cokes as we were hanging, staff seemed a bit apathetic, that said, food was actually really impressive we had the 3 tapas plates off the menu only gripe was the flavours in the beef taco clashed and needed dipping in the Chipotle jam. Had the food not been so good 3 stars all day long.
